Thanks for posting that article Dave! It's very interesting to see that Lorraine Lucciola didn't even mention Il Divo, but it certainly helps to redress the balance! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Thanks for this article from South Coast Today, Dave. Lorraine Lucciola helps us to bridge those couple of years between 'Pure' and 'Odyssey'.

Folks, I really am most awfully sorry for two false starts. It is Monday morning! Perhaps I shouldn't post while having breakfast!
I merely wanted to say that the East Coast Review is vastly relieving as my contacts out there had felt that Hayley had not been prominent in advance news and Il Divo had been panned. But I don't know which new reports they were referring to but Hayley was not part of the bad vibes.
I shall post the concert part of Dave's review to them and see what latest news they have. They were impressed with the DVD I took over with me when visiting them last autumn and had intended going to the concert but Il Divo would not have been their cup-of-tea, nor really, do I think they are mine.
If Il Divo were panned Boston of course has particular views on how it likes its classics presented and seeing Hayley with the Boston pops would be ideal--I believe last Christmas (2004) they and she went down very well.
As has been said before, it seems Hayley introduces then disappears to 'get lost'. I would love to see the inside of the Wang Centre as the friend with whom I stay in Boston was part of the restoration project some twenty odd years ago. i recall two interesting stories from that time.
1. when they started assessing the work involved (around $10million I believe) they discovered literally over an inch of accumulated dust lying on the upper reaches of the proscenium arch.
2. On one of the fund raising events a private secretary reported back: 'if you are going to have a full sit-down dinner you will have to reduce the guest list considerably. You must remember the lady host has only got a very small apartment. She can only manage to seat 60 people round her dinner table. It won't extend any further than that.'
I have difficulty seating six round the table in my very Small apartment but that is the sort of lady you want to know when you are fund-raising a theatre restoration!

To revive a thread that's almost 10 years old.....Does anyone know if there is footage of Hayley singing From A Distance?
