Hi Guys, Just saw this on Ebay:- HAYLEY WESTENRA new single What You Never Know (Won't Hurt You), released in the UK by Decca on 3 October. Picture sleeve, slim jewel case. Taken from the new album Odyssey. Tracks are two mixes of What You Never Know - Sunrise Mix and Quiet Money Mix. Click here to take a look, no pictures but:- cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4762472558&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT(Tinyurl is no longer working with the forum. So, I have had to return it to the long url. You will have to copy it and paste it into your browser to view the item. Keith)Very interesting, does anyone know about this?? Those remix names seem a bit suspect to me, sounds like something from a dance music single . Emmett

I Googled the two names and from what I gather, the "quiet money mix" is R&B dance music, and the "sunrise mix" is trance/techno, although I may be wrong. The new version we heard on the radio is probably going to be one of these.
I'm not sure why Decca wanted to remix the WYNK into dance music. I've heard it done before with some beautiful classical-sounding song singles and it was terrible.

Hi someone, Thanks for searching for the 2 names, I could'nt find anything on them. Decca records site has no mention of this although they could have passed on the rights to a dance record company. I find it hard to imagine that Hayley would agree to this, as it might damage the credibility of her own version. I remember Ms Church went down the dance music road before with a single release. I think it done ok. Another question for Manchester on the 10th of September . Emmett

Somewhere else in this forum (I can't find it now!!!) Kimberly said in topic "Wave 105": " She is going to be interviewed on this radio station. www.wave105.com/article.asp?id=18940 " Well thank you Kimberly, that is my local FM Radio Station and the studios are less than one mile from my home! The station covers the Southampton - Portsmouth area and I'm halfway between the two. I don't expect Hayley to be physically in town though, I bet she does it by a link from somewhere else such as London. The other thing K posted is this: "...Hayley's new single 'What You Never Know' along with her new album 'Odyssey' are released on 26th September." So now, we know what you never know - unless you try (thanks Kimberly!) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I have set up a board for WYNK. But, it will remain invisible to members until I know this is coming out as a single. Staff members can see it.
As soon as I know anything, it will go live on the forum.

I certainly hope I am wrong about these being techno and r&b mixes. But this is what I found on Google: (review about a "quiet money" remixed track): "...talented Dina Carroll is less about the R&B title track..." Plus, the name of this remix is featured on a dance-music site. So I guess we can jump to that conlusion. And almost every search entry about "sunrise mix" says either 'trance' or 'techno.' We'll see. Maybe the mixes will only provide a bit of a beat in the background, but I still think that will spoil the effect. By the way, how do people find and sell unreleased singles? Congratulations on getting the disc, Lothar!

First, although I have not had confirmation about WYNK coming out as a single, I have opened the board to public view.
Hi someone. The way people get and sell copies of unreleased CDs is really rather simple. A quantity of the CDs are sent out as Promo copies to various organisations and radio stations etc. These come into the possession of people working for them and, they then sell them. This applies to both albums and singles.
