Hi all,
I actually made a mistake when talking to Roger before. The difference isn't on the world "home" it's one the word "window". It's very subtle though and maybe I'm just hearing things...what does anyone else think?
The difference is (I'll try and describe it): 1) on "...ow" 3 even beats as she glides up the notes, 2) on "...ow" a slight grace note over the first beat and then longer on the 2nd and 3rd. Hmm, not sure that makes sense...!! Oh well, I can't explain it any better.

I know exactly what you mean, Kirsty. I wrestled with this one for months after I bought Pure (UK) - I simply could *not* hear all of the word "window"! But then, I heard Hayley's new version which is, I think, the same on the WH heights "cancelled" UK video and on the US version of Pure. I could clearly hear her sing "win-doh-oh-oh-oh" so then, I went back to the UK version and now, I can hear it there, too! There's a definite difference between the two versions and I think it's in the relative strength of Hayley's voice and the backing "beat". The beat simply drowns out part of the word "window" on the original UK version but doesn't on the new (video + US) version. This drove me mad for months but finally, I solved the problem! I prefer the new version

Phew, at least I'm not alone! That all makes a lot of sense, thanks Dave. Next time I will listen more to the backing beat. I too prefer the new version and I'm so glad that I managed to get hold of a copy of the single as that was the only place I heard it until I got the US release of Pure.
