Just been to ASDA Fosse Park. They appear to be sold out of Partadiso - there ore only empty CD cases in its slot in the rack. As always mixes feelings about that. I am happy that Paradiso is selling well, but unhappy that the empty rack might mean lost sales.
I suspect the RWC effect is working.
They also had the real World in Union album, which I bought (£7.97). Would be bizarre if that album knocked Paradiso off the top of the Classical Chart.

World In Union can't knock Paradiso off the top of the classical chart on Sunday because there will be only a Classical Artist chart and it wouldn't be included, but it could happen on the following Saturday in the combined Classic FM chart (which is always six days 'late'). They may well be no. 1 and 2 then, but in what order, I have no idea! Meanwhile, over at iTunes, Hayley's four "World In Union" releases are currently at: no. 87 (English, from the album) no. 360 (English, from the single) no. 584 (Maori/English, from the album). Outside top the 1000 (Maori, from the single) Oddly, at Amazon UK, Paradiso has been sliding all week and is currently down to no. 57, which for the first time does not reflect the official chart (currently no. 35 in the official midweeks). So the supermarkets are now the main driver for sales. Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone, Here's another iTunes update! Hayley's three World In Unions as above are currently at: no. 80 no. 395 no. 597 So that's better than yesterday (at the top end where it matters most) and I am now very hopeful that World in Union will chart in tomorrow's official top 100 singles chart, which would be the first time ever for Hayley in the UK! Fingers crossed everyone! At Amazon UK, the Paradiso and World In Union CDs are currently swapping places in the mid-forties. I may be able to deduce the top of next Saturday's Classic FM Chart tomorrow evening, or Monday. It could be very close, Asda being out of stock of WIU in many places could help Paradiso to stay just ahead! Cheers, Dave

My usual tuesday visit to ASDA Rugby revealed
Paradiso at No. 55 but out of stock!
World in Union no 57 - but they now have copies available.
This is the reverse of last week - and won't help!
Neither of the ASDAs I've visited in the last few days have Paradiso, both have The World in Union.

Hi Dave and everyone
In my local ASDA today, Paradiso was at No.55 with World In Union at 57. There were plenty of copies of both.
Best wishes Grant

Hi All,
In my local Sainsbury's Paradiso is at 29 and World in Union at 20. Since Tuesday, the last time I was in there WiU had gone from 4CDs to 2CDs and Paradiso from 1 to 2.

UK Amazon has Paradiso at #2 in the Pop - Traditional & Vocal list, ahead of Tony Bennett's new CD. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif And River of Dreams is at #10! www.amazon.co.uk/gp/bestsellers/music/231224/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_m_h__1_3_lastOn the Easy Listening list, she's at #4, behind some of the people she's ahead of in the other list. Weird. It's #14 in Classical music on Amazon.com. There's mostly Il Volo, Il Divo, the Canadian Tenors, Andrea Bocelli, and David Garrett ahead of it, so she's among the top 6 most popular classical artists there. Not too bad considering how popular those other guys are. It says it's been in the top 100 for 50 days. I can't wait to see how it does once it's released.

You touched a sore point Dave.I think most of the Leicester Tigers players are out there, judging by the team they fielded against Saracens at the weekend - I think it was the third 15!! Needless to say they lost. I think Leicester can never win the league in any year when there is a world cup, since they have to play so many matches without their best players.
Those who are observant will have noticed that there are two ASDA stores I frequent, one in Rugby (birthplace of the game of course) where I work, and the other at Fosse Park Leicester, just over a mile from my home.
But since it is my first (and last) day at work this week, I popped into ASDA to have a look at the new chart. Hence the report.
