Hi everyone, Just to top and tail this one, Paradiso sales in the UK last week were 12,217 copies ( Music Week). Hi everyone, In week 2, Paradiso sold about 6,000 copies in the UK (at no. 30 in the chart) so 18,000 in total so far. It will need to stay in the chart for several more weeks if it is to challenge Treasure in either sales numbers or chart performance, but there is no sign yet that it is going to stabilise (it may struggle to stay in the top 40 this week). In the official midweek chart yesterday Paradiso was no. 39; today it has climbed two places to no. 37, so let's hope that trend continues this week! www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/update/albumsMy concern at the moment is that next week's two TV shows could be a week or two too late if more supermarkets start dropping it after this week (the TV shows will then have less impact on sales). We need World In Union to do well as that could change things. Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone,
Paradiso is up another place to no. 36 in today's midweek chart, so on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday it's gone from 39 to 37 then 36, which is good (I was worried that it might drop out of the top 40). It was no. 30 on Sunday, so an advert or two by Decca would help the damage limitation, come on Decca!

So, what's the difference between the UK Classical albums chart and Classic FM's chart? All these numbers are getting confusing. I'd rather know whether she's still #1 in the classical charts or not. It's too depressing to see her in the 30's!

Hello Libby! Classic FM's chart is a combined chart which includes various artists compilations and soundtracks. In the official UK charts, artists, compilations and soundtracks are separate categories with separate charts. Richard

Hi everyone, Paradiso is up another place in the Friday midweeks (the last before Sunday's final chart). So it's 39, 37, 36, 35 this week so far, in sharp contrast to last week when it was down down down every day! Adverts please Decca! And Hayley is on TV twice next week! Dave

Hello Jeff and everybody! Not only is 'Paradiso' No.1 for the second week, Hayley's 'River Of Dreams' has gone back up three places to No.19 in this week's Classic FM Chart. 'The Armed Man - A Mass For Peace' has gone up seven places to No.27, while 'The Very Best of Karl Jenkins' has dropped sixteen places to No.34. Classic FM haven't updated the short cut yet, but I've found this week's chart on their website: www.classicfm.co.uk/on-air/programmes/official-classic-fm-chart/weeks-top-40-17-september/Richard

Noooo!!!!!! I mean YESSS!!!! No, I am confused! The new UK charts are out and we now know the following (courtesy of www.theofficialcharts.com and www.musicweek.com/ ): World In Union enters the UK singles chart at no. 70 This is the first time Hayley has ever had a single in the top 100 UK charts! We also now know it was no. 161 last week. Congratulations Hayley!Paradiso drops only 5 places, to no. 35, which is a good result at this stage, and it's still no. 1 in the Classical Albums chart. World In Union the album enters the UK compilations chart at no. 5 and in the UK classical compilations chart at no. 1. In the combined albums chart, which includes compilations as well as artist albums, World In Union is no. 30 and Paradiso is no. 43... so putting all the above together, we can deduce that next Saturday's Classic FM Chart will be: 1. World In Union 2. Paradiso So good news/bad news but on balance, I think it's been a great week for Hayley in the UK charts, well done Hayley and all concerned! Cheers, Dave

Thanks for top and tailing it Richard, I'll just add the sales estimates now that I can. World In Union the single, and Paradiso the album, sold between 3,500 and 4,000 copies each in the UK last week (singles sell a lot more than albums, for most chart positions). World In Union the album sold about 5,000 copies. And with probably another few hundred for River of Dreams, that's another 12,000 to 13,000 'Hayley' sales, it's all good for her profile (and income!) Cheers, Dave

Ah, more income to buy new Paradiso tour gowns. And Classic(al!) Brit award gowns, and important things like that! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe red one she just wore is gorgeous, but it's not new. And it's not the pink dress on Paradiso. I want her to wear that one! But I'm sure she only got to wear it for the shoot, and didn't actually buy it. Oh well.
