Hi Kristyn, Well, my life is a bit boring, really. Apart from all my web work: I own this forum, and 8 others as well. I am owner or co-owner of 12 Yahoo Discussion groups I am owner or co-owner of 8 MSN Discussion groups I am moderator on 2 other forums I am co-owner of Hayley Westenra International I am the front man for Holly Holyoake International I help when I can with Yulia Townsend International and Just Charlotte And I am the webmaster of Taylor Caruso Kirk's official site. The other part of my life is to be a carer for a disabled gentleman. So, that's what I do. Not very exciting is it? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifkeith.

So what do you all do for a living? work? perform? make websites all day? lol..what do you guys do for fun? Now I really mean it this time, I'm off to vacation....lol Hello again Kristyn! I'm 56, but I took early retirement about three years ago. I used to be a Control Engineer looking after the electricity supply here in London, but then we merged with East Anglia and the Control Room moved to Ipswich in Suffolk. I've lived on the edge of London all my life, and I didn't want to move at my age, so I took voluntary redundancy and my pension, and I haven't done a stroke of paid work since! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMy main interest is music, and I've been a big fan of Hayley since I first heard "Pure" in September 2003, and so far I've seen and met her five times. I've been an avid viewer of the HWI main web site since I met Gerrit at Hayley's concert at the London Palladium in March 2004, and I joined the Forum in January this year. I find it very rewarding making friends with other Hayley fans all over the world, especially active and fun members like yourself. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI also do a bit of charity work. I help at fund-raising events run by a hospice in Clapham that looked after my mother during her final days back in 1984. I've been doing it for 21 years now. In connection with the hospice movement I took part in an edition of "Songs of Praise" in early 1992. I was only a member of the congregation, but Hayley was very interested when I told her because she has appeared on the programme as a soloist several times. I'm pleased you like Hayley's version of "Memory". Did you notice I changed the link soon after posting it to give you a better one with clips from all her albums, plus a few interesting extras? It is very interesting to hear how Hayley's voice has developed in such a short time, and I'm looking forward to hearing how yours develops, so please keep putting the clips on your web site. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifEnjoy your vacation, and I'll talk to you again soon. Bye for now, Richard

Hi Kristyn, Oh, you don't want to know what I do for a living. [Voice from afar] Oh yes, I do! Oh, alright then, but it's not very interesting.... For the first 14 years of my working life, I was a dealer on the London Stock Exchange but my career went downhill after that! I am now a superviser of an admin support unit in the claims department of an insurance company. See? You wish you hadn't asked now, don't you? ! In general, my main interest is classical (especially crossover) and, to a lesser degree now, folk music and being associated one way or another with various websites. More specifically, I am a devoted fan of Hayley's and I have now seen her in concert 20 times and met her on 17 of those occasions. Many years ago I had a folk group who played locally for about four years. My main instruments were 6 and 12-string guitar and vocals, but occasionally played mandolin, accordian, penny whistles and recorders. I haven't played anything for many years now though. :-( I enjoy creative writing (songs, poems, short stories, etc), and boring everybody silly by telling them about it here! LOL My biggest difficulty in answering your question is that I am 50 and I haven't decided what I want to do when I grow up! Roger

Hello again Kristyn! I may be retired already, but I haven't entered my second childhood. I haven't left my first one yet! When I do, I'll make sure you're the second person to know. (I'll be the first!) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheerio for now, Richard

Hmmm, My story has some parallels with Keith's. I'm manager/assistant manager of 8 groups on Yahoo and 8 groups on MSN. In addition to that, I am owner/webmaster of Yulia Townsend International and Katherine Jenkins International, and webmaster of Holly Holyoake International. Added to that, I do regularly provide new Hayley videos (even though Hayley has yet to appear on Dutch TV ...) And no, I am not retired from work. I am holding down a full time job .... Cheers

I'll tell you a bit about me. I work in the data entry department of a mail-order company. Mostly we sell clothing but now have branched into household goods. We have fought huge redundancies and layoffs when our warehouse moved to Georgia. My dept. once had 50 ppl; now down to 5 since we scan most customers' orders to India and the Philippines. My twin brother works in the nearby clearing dept. He sorts and batches orders by check or credit card.
Have a nice vacation and great Independence Day!

Hi everybody! AAAAHHHH vacation....I LOVE IT!!!...lol...we had the three most perfect days that anybody could ask for over our fourth of July vacation. It was shorter than usual but it was sweet. It was exquisitely sunny and the lake water was ever so warm. It was a little piece of heaven down here on Earth. I got a toasty brown tan from the sunshine and spent many a hour reading on the dock. We did much swimming and played a lot of water Frisbee. Water Frisbee was great fun, on fourth of July morning Justin and I went in for an early swim and played, I of course had to invite the boy from next door to join us…lol…that always makes things fun…lol… It really was all grand fun. We didn’t get to do our usual water tubing and skiing because my brother who owns the boat herniated a disk in his back this year and could not get the time off L which was sad. It was only me, Justin, mum, dad, Erin and her husband Doug. Oh and Aunt Joan and Uncle Keen stopped by on the fourth for a big barbeque. Not the usual 15 or so of us that goes up. I like to keep the location secretish…lol…for someday, if I ever do become “famous” that will be my secret get away. It is on a private road so nobody can follow me in…LOL. Besides that, my sis Erin and I went on some long walks and soaked up the perfectness of the place. I only wish I could stay there longer…like most of the summer…lol! It is my favorite place on earth to be however only when it is summer…lol…winter there is brutal. We had grand fireworks over the lake at night. I got a bug bite that made my pinkie toe go completely numb and swell twice the size it normally is…lol…I think it was a mosquito, they love me, I’m fortunate enough that most other bugs don’t like me, but misquotes have a feast on me…ARRRGGG…lol. Well that was about it for my vacation how I wish it wasn’t so short. But anyway, thanks for all telling me about what you do, I had fun reading all of your posts when I got back It sounds like you all keep pleasantly busy. Running websites are great fun, I love working with computers. Do keep me updated on what happens with other sites you own and I’ll check them out. Being retired it good, it is nice to be able to retire early J I absolutely adore clothing so hey that job is ok in my eyes…lol! No, I don’t know if I will ever truly grow up…J all my siblings are still a kid at heart too, even if they are grown and married. So…that’s all from this end- Write soon everybody- Kristyn

Hi Kristyn, It sounds as though you had a wonderful time so thanks for telling us all about it. As you may have seen, this forum has been very active while you were away so it's nice to have you back so you can restore some sanity to the place! Welcome home. Roger

Hahaha...I'm not sure I'm the best one to 'restore sanity to this place" ...lol...but I'll do my best but thanks anyhow I have a question for everybody- what would you personally do to my website to make it more interesting and have people want to come back? www.kristynmurphy.com ...It is working on being designed right now and I need suggestions. I could never guess it could be so extremely hard to make a website for yourself. It gets ever so boering to stare at a picture of yourself for so many hours...lol...And I have no idea what would be interesting to other people. Chat with you all soon- Kristyn

Welcome back Kristyn, we've missed you while you've been on vacation! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThanks for telling us about your trip to camp. I'm glad you had a good time, and I hope your toe feels better now. In case it's still a bit sore, I'll kiss it better! To look on the bright side, if you gave the mosquito food poisoning you got even! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe Forum's been busy while you've been away, so I hope you enjoy catching up on all the gossip. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Kristyn, I really wish I could help with the design of your website but what I know about such things could be written on the back of a postage stamp (after it's been stuck on the envelope). So the biggest favour I can do for you is to keep well out of this discussion. I will visit it often though and I wish you every success with it. Roger

Kristyn has a lovely voice. Her solo and solo parts are definitely the highlights of the Center Drive Singers CD, "Sweet Freedom."
Kristyn's family invited us to perform a concert in Maine which we did. Kristyn was our special guest at all the live events and also at the concert. It was really interesting to see her change when she went on stage.
Best wishes to you Kristyn, with your career! Natasha

I have a question for everybody- what would you personally do to my website to make it more interesting and have people want to come back? Hello again Kristyn! I've been thinking overnight, and your posts on the Forum have given me an idea I'd like to share with you. You clearly lead a very active life, and I can tell you enjoy making friends with people and sharing your experiences. I would like to suggest that you include a Journal (or Diary) section on your web site, then you can tell everybody what you've been getting up to during the previous week or so, just as you are already doing on the Forum. If you make your reports as entertaining as your posts, and add regular updates, I can guarantee that people will keep coming back for more. You would also be able to give advance notice of future events in a more informal way, in addition to what you put in the News section, and it will make the site more fun for you to run. How often you make the entries would be entirely up to you, but I think you should try to make an entry at least once a month. Like Roger I don't have any experience of web site design, but I hope my suggestion is useful to you, and I look forward to seeing how your site develops. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard
