Hello All, Check StringsMagazine for a comprehensive interview with Nicola Benedetti. In the interview, there is also a reference to the ubiquitious Norman Lebrecht. Actually, I should say, the disgraceful Norman Lebrecht. That chap isn't capable of delivering any sensible, balanced and constructive criticism. To him, any classical performance delivered by a pretty girl is suspect, regardless of the quality of the performance. I'm afraid he has reached an age where he is unable to make a balanced judgment. Norman Lebrecht, I don't know how old you are. I am 52. Maybe you are still younger. Regardless of that, I think I am willing to accept fresh new performers. A thing which you apparently can't stand. You seem to be one of these conservatives who prefer classical performers to be ugly heavyweights. Whatever you think, you are are a period piece. And that period dates back at least 200 years. Try to go back into time, Norman. I'm sure you'll fiind yourself quite at home there. Gerrit
