GLACE BAY — The holidays are a great time for getting together with family and friends, and when those friends happen to be talented musicians, you’ve also got yourself a great show.
The always-popular “Home for the Holidays” show lands at Glace Bay’s Savoy Theatre, Dec. 27 at 8 p.m., bringing together an impressive line-up including the house band — consisting of Fred Lavery, Allie Bennett, Dave McKeough, Brian Talbot and Stephen Muise — as well as J.P. Cormier, Ciaran and Fiona MacGillivray, Molly Rankin, Howie MacDonald, Dave MacIsaac, Stephanie Hardy and Aselin Debison.
“This time of year is so festive and it’s great to be able to get together with friends and make music,” said Lavery.
The audience is in for a night of quality entertainment featuring some of the island’s best veteran and up-and-coming performers, he added.
“It’s a fantastic line-up,” Lavery said, noting that while some of the performers may be young — like the MacGillivrays, Hardy, Debison and Rankin — they are already seasoned pros with great records and international stage experience behind them.
“They can see some of the best talent on Cape Breton Island under one roof,” said Ferguson.
“The audience is in for some special holiday surprises, as well.”
Tickets are $30 and are available at the Savoy Theatre Box Office and Centre 200, or by calling 564-6668. Book online at www.savoytheatre.com.
