Hi Belinda, Thanks for sharing your excellent photos and concert review with us! They're great! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif So you had Ian and Fiona all to yourselves out in NZ? They will be a difficult duo to replace at Canterbury Cathedral I haven't heard Fiona's 'Memories from Home' yet. I'll have to do something about that! Take Care, Andrew

Hello Belinda! Thanks for your excellent review and photographs. It brought back happy memories of the concert I saw in Battersea back in July, so I hope to see Fiona and Ian in another of their own concerts before too long. Andrew, I have a copy of Fiona's album 'Memories of Home' and it is excellent. You can listen to a clip from every track on her website:- www.fionapears.com/music.htmBest Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Thanks Peter,
At least the press have taken a bit more notice of Fiona this time as she gets a mention in saturdays Press Nov 25 advertising her show they head it String Stylist and go on to say tonight and tomorrow night at the Harbour light it will resonate with the latest tunes from vibrant violinist and composer Fiona Pears new album Memories of home Pears has been treking all over the globe for the last couple of years, performing solo and also as Hayley westenra's backup violinist, Pears is looking forward toshowcasing her latest compositions i NZ and sharing some audience favourites from her multicultural musical styles-Celtic.folk,gypsy,Latin and classical including some of Hot club/Grappelli stylings for which she is particularly well known from Blue swing Quartet days, Her 2006/7 NZ tour will take her on 26 dates from Invercargill to Tauranga including the Nelson jazz Festival and the New Plymouth Festival of Lights, before she returns to Britain in March to prepare for a round of Northern hemisphere summer Festivals. Pears seamless transition from Jazz and folk styles to classical has enabled her to appear at many music festivals in NZ and overseas, and perform violin concertos with various orchestras, Theres a little more will add later when i get home from work

I went to the concert in the Harbour Light theatre in Lyttleton on Sat 25th Nov. Fiona and her band were brilliant, especially Fiona and the guitarist. The theatre is a converted movie theatre and gives excellent atmosphere for the concert and that is why it is Fiona's favourite place to play. She did most of her well known songs plus promoting her latest album. She also invited us to be part of a music video she is making for the Classic FM channel in Britain. She is filming it in the band rotunda in the botanical gardens in Hagley Park in Christchurch. She needs a big crowd to be filmed watching her so could be fun to do.She also mentioned the last show on her tour will be a show in the Christchurch Cathedral on Sun 25th Feb, which promises to be a great concert.

Thanks for the tip-off, Ross! We'll be looking out for Fiona's video on Classic FM TV. Perhaps you could wave a big card saying "Hello HWI", then we'll recognise you! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Ross, i bet it was a fantastic concert, Did you go to the concert in Oct,? I did and got her new cd ,Now my mum wants one, Now that i know where to get another copy i will go to the Triangle centre and get it. To look at Fionas Latest interview on CTV vist her own site it is a great interview. www.fionapears.com/press.htmIn the interview the host asks does she see Hayley in london and fiona answers i see myself as sort of Hayley's elder sister. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAlso listen to a couple of radio interviews and look at the recent newspaper articles and a much clearer one of the one i posted. Did Fiona say when the music video is being done and do you know any more about the Cathedral concert.. I saw Fiona and Ian yesterday in a local mall, i should have asked but they were talking so i didn't but in. Belinda NZ
