This album had no TV advertising that I can see... Hi Dave, That reminds me of something that Mark Forrest said on yesterday's Classic FM Charts show. He said the reason for the re-entry of Pure was because of the release of WSS for which there had been a lot of advertising. "It's everywhere", he said, referring to the adverts. ...Only, like you, I didn't see it. And from what I hear, neither did anybody else! Roger

Thanks for the good news, Dave! Congratulations Hayley and Vittorio!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI heard Mark Forrest's comments on Saturday, but I haven't seen the advertisements either. I might have found them if I'd looked 'everywhere' rather than just 'somewhere'! Richard

Congratulations Hayley and Vittorio and to all the team that made this album special.
As it says on the CD:
"Life is a Musical".

Hi all. So out of touch with things I had forgotten the charts should start this week and by sheer chance heard the top two this week. I was astounded that there was a new straight in No1. Then came the news and Wow, girl, right where she should be with a new release straight into No.1 UK charts
Well done.
Very exciting and.... allowing for the fact that Roger was on and fuisiller I held back expecting he would report on my next refresh. Now I have posted Roger has probably posted by now so I shall end up being second.
WELL DONE HAYLEY. WOBURN WAS SUPERB AND THIS IS A WONDERFUL FOLLOW ON. Woburn also mentioned on the anouncement.

Thanks for the great news, Peter! Latest chart: www.classicfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=251563&spid=10079How very appropriate that 'West Side Story' has gone straight into the Classic FM chart at No.1 today. Leonard Bernstein was born on 25th August 1918, so today would have been his 89th Birthday. Congratulations Hayley, Vittorio, and Leonard! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI see from the playlist that Vittorio Grigolo's 'Maria' was played, so let's hope it will be Hayley's turn next week. Best Wishes, Richard

Brilliant! Well done everyone I noticed that Pure and Treasure have declined slightly, but it was good to see them back. I would have liked to hear One Hand, One Heart rather than Maria. If they play a Hayley track next week, it will probably be I feel Pretty, since I have a Love, though beautiful, is rather short and her "Somewhere" is even shorter. But they might go for Connie's Somewhere instead. After all, it is a pretty good version. Perhaps they should play both Somewheres, but that might be rather cruel on Connie. At least on the CD they but Gee Officer Krupke between them, in the hope that you won't notice the huge gulf between the two singers.

Hi guys,
As West Side Story sales were only slightly ahead of the albums just below it in last week's charts, and in view of the continuing absence of TV advertising and its absence from Supermarkets, it was inevitable that it would drop from the top this week and that indeed is what will happen. Quite a big drop, in fact.
So WSS will struggle to stay in the top 10 of the Classic FM chart and may be outside it (though I haven't seen the chart yet). How do I know? Well... the charts people have finally caught up with the reality and have moved it from a "Various Artists" album in the compilation charts into the Classical Artist Chart, where it is no. 6 this week. It will be several places lower at Classic FM.
The Various Artists classification has now been changed to "Westenra/Grigolo/Fisher/RLPO - West Side Story" - probably because the RLPO are present on all tracks.
None of which helps its poorer than expected charts performance, unfortunately. Let us hope that there are plans in place to promote it later in the year.
But there is better news of Hayley albums... I will post details in the main charts board.
Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, I went to several HVMs in Ireland and the classification was always different. It is very confusing! The picture below shows the CD in Galway. Stephany
