Hello everybody, this one is funny peculiar! This morning I was browsing in the Classical Music DVD section at HMV, 150 Oxford Street when I noticed one of their own printed labels in the rack said RICHARD NORRINGTON IN REHEARSAL. This gave me a big shock because I don't see my own name in print every day, except on the forums of course! When I looked more closely, I saw the correct title on the DVD was "Sir Roger Norrington in Rehearsal". I pointed out the error to the girl assistant, but now I wish I'd offered her my autograph. Perhaps I can claim royalties! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAbsolutely true! Richard (in rehearsal!)

Richard, Are you a singer yourself? Perhaps the "REAL" Richard Norrington should please stand up... Take it away Chief! Andrew

Hello Andrew! I'm not really a singer but my voice packs quite a punch, so I might become a Black Belt in Karaoke one day! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifActually Sir Roger Norrington is a British conductor, but he's no relation as far as I know! I don't think he ever worked on my local bus route!!! Bye for now, Richard

Sir Roger Norrington conducted the First Night of the Proms last year - now, if only Richard had been Roger, he would have met Janine Jansen .... Would have been nice to have R..... tell me how she sounds live fith her historical stradivarius violin .... Gerrit

Hello again folks! When I listen to music, I often wave my arms around as though I'm conducting, but I'm not planning on releasing a DVD. Perhaps one might escape one day! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've had another thought. One day I could be a certain station's Most Wanted. The Police Station's! :eek2: Bye for now, Richard

Bye for now, Richard Richard, I have just been comparing a couple of photographs on the web. He might not have been on the same bus route but have you checked with all the milkmen in Oxford? Seeing that Sir Roger was Music Director for the Kent Opera (and a Doctor of Music at the University of Kent), can we expect to see him in Canterbury? Knowing your intimacy with Hayley, has she ever worked with or mentioned Sir Roger? PS. Photographic evidence is being forwarded to "Silent Witness" for analysis. PPS. Whilst I have been to Zimbabwe, I was not born there like my esteemed namesake.

Hello Drew! It's funny you should say that, because I have a long-lost relative called Ernie Norrington, who was known as the fastest milkman in the west. His float was pulled by a horse called Shergar, but the last time I saw them they were giving Lord Lucan a lift down the M4. Nobody has set eyes on them since! To be serious for a moment, I've never discussed Sir Roger with Hayley, but I'm certainly not aware that she has ever worked with him. At least you've given me a question to ask next time I see her! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI suppose he might be at Canterbury Cathedral in October, if he can get a ticket! Best Wishes, Richard

Thanks for that Drew! I'm surprised our Andrew wasn't there, because you'd expect to see a Scot in Ascot! On second thoughts, if Charlotte saw him wearing the Westenra tartan... Richard
