Hi Belinda, Well as far as I’m concerned, I would just want to meet her at her singings, because I haven’t yet!! But it would make sense for her to come in April, since that’s when Meav takes over the CW tour. So, same UK cover, but is it the same UK tracks?!?!? I kind of hope so, because I really want to hear E Pari Ra! I have a Borders beside the University of Auckland, where I study, so I’ll go there first thing on Monday before my lecture!! Dori

Hi Belinda, Grant, Dori and everyone, April? That would make sense. She could promote it while resting a bit with her family because after the CW tour, she will probably be exhausted.

Hi everyone,I am not sure if this is the right thread or not. But, the first of the TV ad's have started tonight (Sun 18th NZ ) and the good news is,they are being shown right at peak time. Hopefully they should attract a large audience. The ad's look to me as though they are the same as one that I think it may have been Dave who had a link to one that I think could have been Woolworths or some such store you have in the UK.It is a nice ad plays for about 8 or 10 seconds but well presented i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGO HAYLEY, we will keep an eye on the chart listing. cheers all, Rodders CH CH NZ

I got my copy at Sounds in the Riccarton Mall today. They had a big specials display which had only Treasure in it. I also saw it in some other stores and yet some didn't have it. I liked the Last Rose of Summer duet with Meav and the Scarborough Fair and The Water is wide songs are great too.I am now waiting to get the Celtic women DVD which is mean't to be released in Australia today and I am hoping it will be released in New Zealand at the same time otherwise I will have to order it from Australia.

I have very little to say re Treasure, .other than to say I know it will do very well, in NZ as most people don't know what they are missing. But if they did i"m sure more would feel a little short changed. i fail to see why all countries could not have had the same amount songs, even if some were different songs ,if they can make so many other changes, they could have done that.also. I hope no one tries to ask Hayley about all versions of Treasure ,i'm sure she would be as be as confused as the rest of us..

Hi Belinda,
I agree with you that there are too many different versions but I can explain why the Record Company decide to have less tracks in some Countries than in others. They all tend to do what the competition does and in the UK, the classical crossover competition are all putting 15 or more tracks on their albums, so they have to for Hayley too. It's similar to that in Japan.
In NZ the US Canada and Australia, the competition seems to mostly have 12 tracks on their albums so Hayley's have too, with an occasional 13 like now. I think they save the extra tracks for Special Editions in NZ and Oz but they don't seem to issue Special Editions in the US much if ever so there you have to import or download the extra tracks. So there are two basic tracklistings (so far) for Treasure but with one bonus track in Japan.
There isn't as much money to be made from selling CDs these days due to piracy - and Supermarkets forcing prices down - so the record companies try every trick in the book to make a profit. One of the tricks is to not have more tracks in each Country than the competition has and another is to pick and choose for each Country what they think will be the most popular tracks there.
Universal Music locally make these tracklisting decisions, I believe, and sometimes I think they get it badly wrong. I wish they'd just stop it. Grrr!!!
Cheers, Dave

I just still can't undersand why E Pari Ra was not on our edition, but neither was Pokarakara Ana on Pure, however, it was on the Special Edition, so i think the same goes for Treasure! I hope... Dori

Hello Dori and everyone,
Following your comment above and in the Odyssey NZ Special edition thread, I have checked iTunes NZ and I can now confirm that E Pari Ra is available there as a download.
It can be bought as a bonus track on the complete download album - costing $NZ17.99. Or it can be bought on its own at a cost of NZ$1.79.
It rather looks like Decca/Universal have realised their mistake in omitting this track from any edition of Treasure or Celtic Treasure and I am sure that it will very soon be available to download in all Countries - if not already. I hope that the strong views expressed by everyone who has commented about it in the HWI forum have helped Decca and Universal to realise their BIG mistake.
I hope this means that it will also appear on any future Special Editions of Treasure.
Cheers, Dave

Here is a lovely review of Treasure album by the Christchurch Press today . They give it 4 out of 5 stars and this reviewer is usually pretty tough.

Many thanks for sharing, Ross. Sounds like the reviewer is a fan of Hayley. It's great to see that he noticed Hayley's hard work - she's getting better and better (if that's possible) with diction and tone. Her maturity is impressive and I can imagine how smashing her next album will be.
