I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a popping sound while listening to their copy of Treasure? I ordered 4 CD's, I've listened to one all the way through and am on the 2nd and on both I have heard a slight popping sound every now and then throughout the CD.

Hello mountaingirl and welcome to the forum.
I have listened to three copies of Treasure and I have not heard any popping sound and nobody else, to my knowledge, has experienced any difficulty. I can only suggest you return it to where it was bought, ask them to test it, and request a replacement if necessary.
Good luck! Roger

Hello mountaingirl, and welcome from me too! I haven't heard any popping sounds on my CD either, so I'm wondering if there is a problem with your equipment, possibly a loose connection. Have you tried listening to any other CDs recently? Best Wishes, Richard

Hi mountaingirl, I would have understood and thoroughly agreed with you if you had said that the 'Treasure' CD has "cracking sound"... It definitely does have that! Thanks for the welcomes! I'm pretty sure I was registered on here at one point but it had been quite awhile since my last login so I didn't remember any of my info! Well, when I heard the sound I was listening to the CD's on my DVD player. I have since listened to them on my stereo and have not noticed it again so I think they are fine! Whew! I didn't want to have to send them back!

Sometimes you can get popping or crackling on CD's if you don't look after them. (although I'm sure everybody on this forum looks after them and don't leave them lying on the floor out of there cases.) Scratches and finger-marks do the worst and the CD players error correction has an harder time working out the missing information because its obscured or damaged by scratches. I keep my discs in a safe place.

Hi mountaingirl, Well... it gives us even greater pleasure to welcome you back again!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHere's a short tale of woe for you re: "popping sounds on CDs"... About 8 years ago when I lived in my first "bachelor pad" I let my neighbour, "the girl next door" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif borrow my Karl Jenkins 'Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary' CD after she asked what the "enchanting music" was which she could hear me playing from time to time... About 2 weeks later she returned it to me and I played it again. I was rather shocked to hear a cacophony of "popping" and "jumping" sounds on the playback. Initially I was worried that perhaps my CD player had finally "given up the ghost", but when I removed the CD I discovered that the surface had several smears of red candle wax on it! My neighbour and trustworthy friend (I will reveal that her name was "Cherylin" just to shock and shame her! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ) later explained that she had played the CD over a romantic dinner for two... I haven't allowed very many people to borrow any of my CDs since! I certainly won't be lending any of the CDs in my priceless "Hayley collection" to anybody!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif So there! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndrew

Yikes! Was she using the CD as a candle plate?! Hi mountaingirl, I guess we'll never know... I told her that the CD was "light and reflective" but perhaps she misunderstood me? Andrew
