Hi
Hayley was asked at Canterbury if there were any ideas regarding the title of the new album. Hayley said nothing had been decided and suggested we should give her some ideas. How about having a few suggestions posted here? I'll get my thinking cap on but if anyone wants to start the ball rolling ...

This post has been moved from 'Other Albums'. Hi everyone,I can't find a thread dealing with this subject but if there is,no doubt somebody will move this to that site.
No doubt you would have read Hayley's recent newsletter, and she mentioned that she had just arrives back from Dublin where she had done some recordings with an orchestra.
This raises some interesting thoughts, is this new CD going to be more Celtic perhaps? Has this come about with the recent DVD Hayley did with Celtic Women? Could be a possibility eh? What are your thoughts on this? ( Why we wait with baited breath for the release date) either way I think it's going to be a cracker, roll on March 2007
Cheers, Rodders

Also moved from 'Other Albums'. That sounds good, Rodders!
I love Hayley singing Celtic music. Songs like "She moves through the Fair" belong to my favorites. This song was her opening song in Oberhausen where she was touring with Il Divo in May. I met Hayley there for the first time so it was the first live song I've heard from her. But actually I like all of her songs so it doesn't matter what she is going to sing. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello Rodders and Thomas! To avoid duplicating this topic, I have moved your posts from the 'Hayley's New Album For 2007' thread on the 'Other Albums' sub-board, and deleted that thread. I'm really looking forward to the new album too, and I hope it will include a few Celtic songs, because they really suit Hayley's voice, and vice-versa! The recording session in Dublin may not be too significant. The first recordings for 'Pure' were made there, although most of them were subsequently abandoned when Giles Martin took over the production. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Marianne, The last I heard (but this may have changed) was that the CD might be released in February. If that is the case, and if she doesn't join the CW until mid-March, that solves the problem. Otherwise, it would seem she will not be in the UK at the time of the release. Other than that, I don't know any more than you do. Roger Hi Roger and everyone, I thought it might be a good idea to copy the latest information we have into this "new album" thread, rarher than have too much of it in the Celtic woman thread where people might not think to look for it. So I did! Just to add what i know, I did ask Hayley at Canterbury (UK! ) a few weeks ago if it would be released in time for Valentines Day (February 14th) as I know that was being considered at one point. But Hayley couldn't confirm that so I think early March is still the best bet, with February just a possibility. Why early March? Mothers Day of course. This falls on Sunday 18th March 2007 in the UK and has the second biggest CD sales surge of the year. If so, the most likely release date would be Monday 12th March or possibly the week before, with Hayley doing her promotional work from the beginning of March right up to her departure for Celtic Woman in miid month. After that, the promo would probably be left to TV commercials or anything that Hayley prerecorded and they would hope to keep it high in the pop chart for at least three more weeks to catch the Easter sales boost as well. So March 12th is my best bet, followed by March 5th and with February the outsider. Cheers, Dave

Eh? You want some more news? Oh, OK then...
Hayley's next CD is progressing well and she is now in the final stages of recording (in Salisbury, Wiltshire). She will be recording a total of 19 tracks but, of course, not all of them will be included in the track listing but those which don't make it are likely to be included on a subsequent bonus issue.
The recorded songs will include 'Danny Boy' and 'Abide With Me' and three or four that Hayley has written including one called 'Melancholy Interlude'. I am told this could be one of the loveliest songs on the album.
Hayley will be promoting the album in the UK from late January until early March when she heads of to Boston to commence her involvement with the Celtic Woman Tour. If the UK promo begins before 26 Jan, she will be taking a few days out for reasons I will explain elsewhere... but she will be in Texas!
Thanks to Steve Abbott for the information.
Roger

Thanks for that information Roger, you obviously had a good evening and a productive one, too! I'm kind of relieved that it will be as early as that as it will allow a decent amount of time for promoting the new album. I am even more relieved I didn't offer you a bet on release dates... I'd have given you at least 5/1 on that date! Hey, you didn't tell us what the album title will be! Did you forget to ask? Cheers, Dave

Wow, Roger, sounds like a great evening. I am very glad to know more about this new album, it sounds like it will be the best yet. I am not sure which I am more eager to hear, these two "traditional" tracks or Hayley's original tracks. Will she sing in Maori again? I hope so, though any new material from Hayley is always welcome. Glad to hear she'll be in TX too. Think she'll get invited to the ranch?
Even if she doesn't, I am most glad to hear she will get back to NZ this year.

Hi, Roger Hope you had a really refreshing sleep !!! Your latest news on Hayley's new Album absolutely made my day !!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm also absolutely sure it will be a chart stopper, if I may say so !!!! "Abide with me" is a most beautiful hymn, and I admire Hayley greatly for her courage to include Christian material on her CDs !! It will no doubt compliment "Amazing Grace" !! And sung just as stupendously for sure !!! For what it's worth...... "The Journey Continues" sounds a fine CD title to me !! Please, now, no laughing or mocking.....thank you !!!!!!! Love Marianne
