Hayley must keep an exceedingly low profile. We never see candid street shots of her out and about just doing her thing. Why is that? Don't photographers and/or paparazzi recognise her or deem her pic-worthy? Does she mind not being sought after after all the years of hard work making a name for herself?

Hi Steve
I suspect the reason is that Hayley sees herself as a normal, everyday girl and not the superstar that we all know she is. She has already said that she can feel annonymous travelling around London.
I'm sure, if she wanted to, she could wear glitzy clothes and make herself easily recognisable. Then, I guess, the press may follow her around.
I think Hayley has the papperazzi exactly where she wants them, following other famous names around, whilst she gets on with her life shopping and doing all the other normal things that girls do.
Best wishes Grant

Hi Steve/Grant
Another reason is that in London Hayley probably doesn't frequent the kind of restaurants and night clubs that the papperazzi stake out day-in day-out.

Hi Steve/Grant/Martin,
I should think Hayley must be very relieved that she is not constantly hounded by the press. Once that starts, it is never likely to stop. From the press's point of view, they probably don't consider her to be worthwhile prey as they know there is nothing scandelous to say about her.

Hi All, Maybe its because this site & our members have so many shots, both posed & unposed, that the paparazzi just can't compete. Graeme

Hi All, Maybe its because this site & our members have so many shots, both posed & unposed, that the paparazzi just can't compete. Graeme Hi Graeme & everyone, yeah, your right about Hayley keeping a low profile. I would have never have known she was in Christchurch if it wasn't for Grant who made mention that they ( Hayley & Gerald ) were on their way back here when the All Blacks were playing what turned out to be their last game in the RWC. Also when TV3 & Campbell live showed the interview that was recorded that morning here in CH CH. Having said that,I am not 100% sure but I think I may have caught a glim z of Gerald in the central city at about 1515 ( 3.15pm ) last Tuesday. If your reading this Belinda,he was walking from Gloucester Street Colombo Street North opposite Farmers, not sure if he has an office in that area or not but it looked as though he was wearing a suite as I was traveling in the opposite direction it was only a glance so I am not sure. I haven't seen any of the family since Thomas was here back at the beginning of this year. So Hayley and her family are very good at keeping a low profile here in Christchurch. In short, unless you knew exactly where Hayley was going to be and at what time etc. It would be like looking for a very small golden needle in a very large haystack. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif cheers, Rodders

Hello Graeme and everybody! I agree that our photographers take much better pictures of Hayley than any of the paparazzi shots of other celebrities that I've seen. HWI is definitely the best place to find great photographs, both posed and candid! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI think Hayley would agree too! Best Wishes, Richard

Hayley isn't pestered by photogs because there is simply no reason for them to do so. She doesn't court the attention, and I get the sense she doesn't have a lot of anonymous "friends" who tip the press off when she will be out. She's also intelligent enough not to go slogging off to Tesco in grubby sweats or falling out of pubs at chucking out time. Pics of an otherwise ordinary young woman doing ordinary things don't sell papers.

Hi all, An interviewer asked that exact question when Hayley was interviewed on the NZ good moring show: how do you avoid paparazzi? And Hayley simply said that she doesn't put herself in a situation, place or position to where she would attract the media. For example, she said that if she was out partying, people would very easily capture her, but she doesn't do that. I also personally believe that every celebrity (ok, maybe not Tom Cruise, but hey... ) has control over that kind of life, and Hayley keeps hers under control. I personally think she should be applauded for how she has avoided the media in the past few years. Well down Hayley! Dori

Hayley keeps hers under control. I personally think she should be applauded for how she has avoided the media in the past few years. Quite right Dori! If Hayley were to fall out of a few night clubs in the early hours, shouting and swearing after a night of binge drinking, it wouldn't take the paperazzi long to catch up and find a few tasty stories to print. I suspect Hayley is more likely to be found arm in arm with a few friends giggling quietly as they wait for their mini cab. No story there! Just a few ordinary young people enjoying themselves. It's just a pity that more of our celebreties are not the kind of role model that Hayley is. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant & Dori & All, Among the people who most of us would call celebrities are really all sorts. From very clean cut self effacing people to the exact opposite. What fascinates me is, in the realm of straight out external beauty, that Hayley isn't on one of the lists like: The 100 Most Beautiful Women in the World. She'd leave a lot of them for dead....surely the commercial photographers who've snapped both her & Keira Knightly for example, have noticed that Hayley is breathtakingly beautiful in her own right. Or isn't that enough for them?? Graeme

Hello Graeme
Like you I am puzzled and don't have an answer. I accept that perception of beauty is a very personal thing which for me (and I suspect you too) puts Hayley right up at the top as one of the most beautiful young women I have ever seen.
Irrespective of bias, Hayley deserves to be included.
Best wishes Grant

It really wouldn't hurt Hayley to court paparazzi attention on occasion. Not all of it's bad. For example: making the scene at galas, opening nights and movie premieres. Those pics always make her look good and set the tone for a favourable releationship with photogs in the future. She could easily become the darling of important social pages and this would boost her profile significantly. She has the natural good looks, charm and confidence that may have been perceived as too awkward in the beginning but are now fully ripened and ready for a close up.

Hi Graeme, Could it be that what most of us on this board think of as beauty is different? It has got to be.... I hope Hayley keeps being wise like this... I would hate not being able to live life normally. I mean I'm sure she loves singing, but at what price in terms of her freedom/anonymity? There has to be a tipping point... Peter Hi Grant & Dori & All, Among the people who most of us would call celebrities are really all sorts. From very clean cut self effacing people to the exact opposite.
