Hi Gerrit, I imagine that record is yours. I think it is unlikely that anyone has seen her in more than five countries. My record is three: Wales, Scotland and England. Four if you include Birmingham! Roger

Hello everyone, I have a strong suspicion that Belinda was somewhat involved in Keith's very first meeting with Gerald, Hayley's dad. Belinda? Faenol Festival, 2003? Yes Dave, i did have a little to do with the meeting .I had talked to Keith on messenger that weekend and been in email contact with Gerald in Wales that weekend also. So was able to tell him someone called keith may come up to him,so when he did ,Gerald said you must be keith I'd love to have seen Keiths face then After the show Keith emailed me and said To say that seeing her live made a big impression would be an understatement, There are not enough superlatives in the english language to describe how great it was. then i spoke to Gerald and he made a big impression.what a wonderful, friendly man. I am glad that i did as you suggested,Belinda.he quickly makes you feel like a friend and puts you at ease (I was Nervous about approaching him) that was a great experience in itself. Then when he returned from getting Hayley to sign my cd inserts,he beckoned me through the security barrier to meet Hayley, which was so thrilling that i still havn't come back down to earth. What a truly beautiful person she is. It was such an honour to meet her,She is so attentive when you are talking to her, she makes you feel so important and that what you are saying is of real interest to her. he said as he left them he turned and looked at the sky it was black just one light, it was mars which was at its closest to the earth for some 60,000 years and it was directly over the stage, he then went on to say was mars heralding the birth of one of the great international stars of our time,I like to think so. Mars August 2003i will be there to support Hayley as much as i can and look forward to the day when i can see her perform live again. Which he did i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifand as Dave said that is History. Belinda

That's a wonderful story Belinda. I particularly like the bit about Mars.
Well, The Three Wise Men had their star to follow, perhaps Mars is HWI's. (OK, so it's a planet but it works for me!)

Hi Belinda and Grant,
Although part of that story was familiar to me, I didn't know about Mars. That reminds me of Keith's sense of humour. Whenever anyone supplied a news item, a review, some picutes, or whatever about Hayley, he used to say they deserved a prize which was invariable an empty Mars bar wrapper! I wonder if there was a connection?

It's super to have the history of HWI presented this personal way by those of you who've been involved since the early days. It brings me as a newbie to feel closer to you than I would otherwise. I'm only learning what it takes to be a member, but I'm impressed with what a family HWI truly is.

Its reassuring to know that people who are fresh to us feel that's how we come across. It is certainly how we try to treat each other. Peter S.

Thank you all for the history regarding HWI. Very interesting and enjoyable to read. Speaking about HWI, I just realized that with my last post, I became a "full member". Goodness, my head is now so huge that I cannot get out of my computer room! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif It would appear that full membership comes with 100 posts. I am very appreciative. I was wondering however, if I can anticipate that Hayley herself will personally visit my humble home to congratulate me on my achievement? I shall wait by the door. If so, I wonder what she would do to honor those who attain "Maestro" or "Moderator"? Should I anticipate a personal dinner invitation? Perhaps a duet?

Hi Gene! Sorry, I cannot promise you a visit from Hayley, but hey!! Best wishes Grant Hi Grant, your cheerful congratulations are more than enough! I'm sure that if Hayley had the time, she would indeed congratulate each and every one of us whenever milestones are attained. That's the kind of person that she is. However, your personal note was certainly great to read and helps to make my visits to this forum even more enjoyable. Here I am receiving congratulations for doing something that I absolutely love doing! It doesn't get any better than that! All my best, Gene.
