Hi Stuart H!
Thank you for your kind congratulations. I don't know about 'prolific as I am some 1,000 posts BEHIND others, but then they were here about a year or so ahead of me..'though possibly, if we counted words--or, as a printer would say ennage (the equivalent of counting every letter plus one space) may be I've made a reasonable contribution to our space demands! Cheer!
Peter S.

Congratulations Peter!!! You need a trip to New Zealand after 2,000 posts. Not to recharge your batteries, but to get you back on topic! Best Wishes, Richard

Well Done Peter You should also get an award for the number of words posted as it must be the highest of all Forum members. I wonder what the next category is above Maestro? Perhaps Bard! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI must leave this post now otherwise Richard will banish me to NZ as well. Best wishes Martin

Thank yoiu, Martin. Perhaps 'prolific' should be the next stage but before Richard (or whomsoever) despatches me with you, WHEN I report from New Zealand maybe I'll have practised précising somewhat! :rollin Peter S.

Peter S. Peter Whatever you do you must not feel obliged to precise. There are few devotees of the English Language today so keep that literary excellence flowing (unless of course the HWI disk space runs out! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif). I am sure HWI in NZ agree (phew -back on thread. ). Best wishes Martin

Hi Everyone we had One Fine Day with no hint of Summer Rain . Peter alas no Hayley concert to report, and no sugar involved I met Thomas and his sister Simone at their Hotel, very nice it was too. we then caught the bus to town, getting off the bus near Victoria Square, stopping to take a pic Thomas and Simone with Queen Vic we wandered through the square and over to the Town Hall where Hayley does her Christchurch concerts. Then we walked along the river bank looking at various sights along the way Thomas taking lots pics of the trams, we then went through Cathedral Square and to Cashel street where Hayley did some of her busking in the Live from NZ video. Simone and i posed for pics out side Ballantynes, we then went to sounds Cd shop, where Hayley's last CHCH signing was and Thomas bought My Gift To You ,and Hayley Westenra CD's and his sister bought a Brooke Fraser CD. Simone and Thomas loved all the greenery round the city centre. We decided not to catch the tram to the Arts Centre and walked instead, then went and had a look at the market. and other sites of the Arts Centre., as we still had time before meeting the others we went and had a look in the Museum which is very close by.. We then headed back to the Arts centre the sun was very hot, we waited patiently for Rodders, trying to guess was that him as the only discription we had was grey hair and glasses. First person we spotted was Gerald, then Rodders we went out to the cafe out near the foot path and found a table, Close by was a very talented busker of the name of Isaac i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif we had a nice time chatting about all sorts things and then Gerald kindly took thomas and Simone back to their Hotel and Rodders gave me a ride home i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas took some photos of the group and Gerald and Isaac, so will will have to wait for them. Later sunday Thomas and simone went for a ride on the tram and looked at Hagley Park. I met them again Monday after work and took them some maps for their trip. will be seeing them before work tomorrow then they leave on their trip.by rental car. They will be back in two weeks and we will go to the Starry Nights Show in the Park. Belinda

Thanks for the review of your day with Thomas and Simone and the pictures too. Sounds like you had a really good day.
Christchuch looks great and I'm really looking forward to my trip if it comes off. I will also be taking lots of pictures of trams! Do you think there will be any chance of persuading Hayley to come for a ride?
Best wishes
Grant

Hi Belinda Thanks very much for the pictures. It sounds as though you all had a great time. It looks so lovely and warm there as I look out of my window at a dull damp day here in the UK. I bet Thomas and Simone were thrilled at seeing all the "Hayley" sites and then meeting Issac & Gerald I do hope that I can get over sometime soon, even if for whatever reason its not this September. Hearing from you has certainly got me thinking !! Best wishes Mark.
