Thanks for the pictures of of your collection Belinda. It is quite impressive. Your property manger must have had quite an experience. I think this may be a rare instance where a long flight passes incredibly quickly.

Hi Belinda, I saw in your pictures that you have the book about Hayley- What is it called? "Hayley Westenra: The world at her feet" or something like that? I saw it in a bookstore the other day and was considering getting it, is it an interesting read? Is it more about Hayley's early years, before she got in the business? Thanks -Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth
I think almost all the members of HWI would own a copy of this book. I would say they would also all recommend you to buy it. It covers the whole of Hayleys life from the time her parents were discussing her name up to the making of Pure. Also lots of very interesting photographs from her early years. Buy it!
Best wishes,
George

Thanks -Elizabeth Elizabeth That book is a must for any real Hayley fan!! It is a brilliant read and covers just about everything up to the release of "Pure". It also contains some stunning photos of Hayley and her family. Try searching on Amazon, you can often get a good deal, but YOU WILL enjoy the book. Best wishes Grant

Oh okay- cool- thanks! I'll be sure to check it out. -Elizabeth Hi Elizabeth Re the book about Hayley. I've checked on Amazon and there are no decent deals when postage is taken into account. There is, however, a copy on ebay, currently at £3.00 with bidding due to end in 6 days. The shop option may be the better bet for you. Best wishes Grant (Sorry Roger, if I'm keeping this off thread! )

That's okay, Grant. The thread began with someone sitting next to Hayley on a plane. If that isn't possible, the next best thing is to read her biography during the flight. Roger

But as you say, I certainly have it and recommend it as essential Hayley reading--as is the Wellington DVD 'Live from New Zealand' essential buying and regular viewing. Peter S.

I actually re-read this loveley book about a month ago. There is certainly reference to the choice of name. Reference is made to 'Hayley' meaning 'hero' and 'Dee' was chosen because it was the name of one of Jill's favourite dolls (Wonder whether or not she's still got it?) Hope that helps. Grant

Dear Grant I did realize that!! I remembered visiting the HWI site this last April and seeing Birthday messages when Hayley turned nineteen, and then I realized that our birthdays are very close to one another- she's the 10th of April I'm the 13th!! Next year is going to be an important birthday as be both turn 20. That is very cool!!! I hope that I can see her in concert again before I go home in April- that would be a great birthday present! - Elizabeth
