I don't quite know where to put this post, but the mods can relocate if they see a better place. EDIT: Yes, I have moved it to the Russell Watson DVD board HERE. Please bear in mind that Moderators cannot move individual posts from one thread to another other than by the quote method. That makes it look as though it is their post merely quoting you. They are then required to move any subsequent replies by a similar means (as was the case here). Your original post then needs to be deleted, all of which, I am sure you will agree, is extremely time consuming and has a somewhat messy result.

Roger et al Sorry. I wasn't meaning to dump on you. I thought I had taken sufficient trouble to get it right, missed the Russell thread through being Hayley-orientated, which was actually the purpose of the post and thread. I was only intending to say, 'if you feel it is inappropriate I won't get upset if you re-organise it. I wasn't intending that you specifically should. So, sorry, if I didn't look sufficiently first.

Thanks everyone for sharing your fond memories of meeting Hayley! It sounds like she's a great gal! Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to meet her before the end of me. I can envision it going something like this: spotting Hayley, I go dashing through mob of fans and well-wishers (shrieking like a little school girl at a Ricky Martin concert all the way ), then fainting when I finally get to meet her. Yep, I can't wait, it's going to be the fantastic! Russ

Hi Russ and Martin The thing is not to try to be too eloquent when meeting Hayley for the first time. I remember I practiced for ages what I was going to say to her, and all I said was "Hi Hayley" but addressing her by her name seemed so very important to me. I still remember those few moments like they were only yesterday. They were and still are very special. Welcome to the forum Russ!! Grant I deleted the quote. Russ's post appeared four times consecutively and Martin's three times. This isn't ITV! Richard

Hi All, I will never forget Hayley's friendly beaming smile the first time I met her... I was in complete awe of her! I commented on her impressive rendition of 'Amazing Grace' and she told me quite a bit about John Newton, the author of the lyrics of 'Amazing Grace' (for those who might be interested you can read a bit about John Newton here ). Unforgetable! Andrew

Grant Hey Grant, thanks for the welcome! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I think my hopes are slim to none of meeting Hayley after the Celtic Woman show when it comes to Boston. But having some hope is better than having none at all!! I'll get to see and hear her perform for the first time, so that's a major score right there. Being the seat-of-the-pants kind of guy I am, I'll have nothing planned to say to her should we meet. Managing to say "hi Hayley" will be a major accomplishment for me. Maybe even a "you look wonderful tonight" if I can gather my thoughts long enough to blurt that out! Russ

Hi Russ, In case you are fortunate enough to meet Hayley, have the insert from a CD in your pocket (preferably one of hers!). She is always happy to sign them and it serves as a good ice-breaker. Roger

Hi Russ & everyone Like Grant, the first couple of times I met Hayley I had planned out what I was going to say to her. Needless to say, when it came to it, I became quite tongue-tied and actually said very little. Somehow though I managed to ask if she would mind having her photo taken with me - before I could take in what was happening, she was next to me with her arm around my waist - and the rest as they say is history. I must say though, that the last time we met, I was much more relaxed I guess that was because I met her in the car park on her way in to the venue. We had a relaxing little chat then, as well as after the show. Russ, if you do get to meet her, just consider this - it won,t be Hayley that is tong-tied, nervous etc., she will be her usual relaxed, friendly & welcoming self and for that few moments, I am sure she will make you feel like you are her only fan Best regards Mark

Roger Not a bad idea Roger! I think it would be priceless if I asked Hayley to sign the latest CD from Christina Aguilera! She'd probably smack the smirk right off my face! I'd never do that to Hayley, but it would be some joke! Mark, If I was so fortunate as to meet up with her, I would expect nothing less of myself but to be a bumbling fool! Tripping over myself, sweating, drooling, trembling, talking incoherently, the works! A bonus would be that Hayley would never forget me, the bumbling boob from Boston! Seriously, I cannot wait to see her in concert. I bet her voice is even more pleasant live than on CD/DVD. Meeting her afterwards would be icing on the cake! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHi Marianne, thanks for such a lovely welcome! I'm fully planning to be mesmerized (or paralyzed, take your pick) when she takes the stage, that's why I am bringing a friend, so that she can summarize the entire evening for me when it's all over! Or maybe I could ask Hayley what happened! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRuss

That's a very good point, Roger. Ask Hayley to sign something and she will immediately ask a question, that gets the conversation going! You will be totally disarmed and relaxed.
