Hi Kosho,
Beautiful. You have captured the spirit of Hayley in those pictures. I hope you continue with your art as long as it gives you pleasure. It will certainly give other people pleasure.

Hi, It's been a while since I've posted in this thread! My grandfather asked me to do a portrait of my grandma and him when they'd just gotten engaged. It kinda stressed me out a lot because my grandma passed away 16 years ago, so it HAD to be good because it's such a special picture. But I failed. His side of the portrait ended up looking like a goldfish+monkey+barely human So I thought I'd take a break from that before I restart.. Played around with charcoal and I got this: From Belfast, Waterfront Hall 2008, photo taken by Karsten! (Hope you don't mind, Karsten?) Next time, I hope that it'll actually look like Hayley! This was done much quicker than the first one I posted a couple of pages back. My hands got much blacker though haha. So far it seems like charcoal = less detail, much faster and dirtier and pencils = as much detail as I can see, so slow! But relatively clean. cheers, Joanne

Hello Joanne! Your drawing looks exactly like Hayley, and you've captured her facial expression perfectly. Even with her sunglasses on, she's unmistakeable. Very well done! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Wow Joanne, I have to admit something, when I first started to read your post I glanced at the drawing and had only read the bit as far as your Grandmother and I immediately thought, WOW she looks a lot like Hayley, :je Uncanny likeness, then read further and realized it WAS Hayley, that is really well done. Best wishes. Jennie B

Hi all Thanks so much for your kind words! Haha here's another one: A close-up: And just for fun: Sort of modeled from this picture in #106 at Croydon taken by Grant! Umm after I sprayed hairspray on it (poor man's fixative for charcoal drawings, etc.) I realised her nose was a bit wrong Next time! cheers, Joanne

Hi Simba
Love your painting of Hayley - one of the most lifelike we've ever seen - can't wait to see the one you're working on.
I've also had a look at some of your other work - you're incredibly talented - the tiger in the water, particularly, is awesome.
Best wishes Grant

Thanks joe and grant! For the realistic painting, I'm trying something really different, but I'm sure it'll turn out good XD

Simba--- I love how Hayley hair looks there. Very nice! Once I get my scanner working again I guess I have one to share. I drew a portion of this pic (Hayley's face, neck shoulders and most of her hair): I've never been able to get into drawing realistic art. I always get bored and can never finish them. Jenny♥
