Should we be starting a new thread. "I wonder what she is thinking?"
May I start.

Hi folks, Going back a few weeks I posted that I had just seen the Wuthering Heights Video on Classic FM TV, well didn't that start off a feast of discussions ranging from the difference between Kate's version and Hayley's version to the single and its release (or not) depending on where you live. So I thought I would have a go at some screen captures from the master DVD. I will split it into two posts. Steve H

Hi everybody, I also like screen captures & follow 1littlegirl in using the Heaven & Earth TV showing. I'm surely not alone in being fascinated by the expression that flashed over Hayley's face when the interviewer told the viewers that Hayley had reached the top of her profession at the tender age of 19. It would take 30 screenshots to do proper justice to what that face of her's is saying. Here's one of them. Graemek I think you are right Graemk and every one of the other 29 would be just as beautiful. That is a super picture and an absolutely lovely expression. It also shows her dress up well, what iittle of it we can see. I omitted to mention in my Gawsworth Hall report that the second dress she wore that evening was that one and it was nice to be able to study it in detail. Peter S. Hi Peter, I was wondering what the second dress might have been. Here's a bunch of captures detailing it: Graemek....PS Steve, the Wuth. Hts. captures are magnificent!

Hello Steve! Your screen captures from the 'Wuthering Heights' video are fabulous, and again show different expressions on Hayley's face. Would it be possible to capture her blowing out the candle at the end of the video? That would be a lovely shot! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

This is a multi-talented girl and as someone else has already quoted in a different context, 'I don 't think we've seen nutting yet!' Peter

Hi Graemk.
Thank you for those additional stills from Heaven and Earth showing the dress. Perhaps I'm too old-fashioned (although fashion does swing the changes in a sort of circle) and retro is not unusual, but that dress has intimations of the fifties style, yes, no?
She must be wearing at least a slip if not a flared out, perhaps 'flounced' petticoat to give that fuller look which i think suits her well. I also like the dress material itself.
Peter

Thanks for that Steve! I must have very good judgement, because that's a wonderful little sequence. I like the dimmer lighting on Hayley's face after she's blown out the candle. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

They cut out the bit where Hayley stands on a copy of the Yellow Pages to blow out the other candle. Thanks Steve for the captures. They don't show the video often enough.

I asked my wife (who I met in 1967) re that style & she agrees with you...fifties-sixties. I thought Hayley's dress was cute & little girly & became her but the last person to ask re fashions is me....straight over my head. In fact I'd like to see how HW would look wearing an upturned potatoe sack (washed & ironed neatly of course) with head hole & arm holes & ,say, a necklace. She'd look breathtakingly beautiful I'm convinced!! Graemek

Hi Steve...
Many thanks for the screen captures from the Wuthering Heights video.
I hope Hayley made a wish before she blew out that candle! :je

I am no more a connoisseur of haute couture than yourself but having been much involved with theatre in a range of onstage and offstage roles over many years I have picked up a certain awareness through the wardrobe department, hence, perhaps, what little awareness I have. As regards Hayley looking good in a sack, even ironed I reckon it would be more like a hair short for her and while she is athletically fit I'm sure it would scratch her sensitive skin unbearably. As has been said before about Hayley, one cannot paint the lilly... and if one stops to think about it, Hayley dresses very simply in the main. This might be for practical reasons--simplicity of design to reduce fitting sessions; ease and lightness of packing; speed of slipping in and out for changes but probably, most of all, simple adornment is all her beauty requires.
