I just discovered one can listen for free to the entire Odyssey and Pure albums - including "Bridal Ballad" - on Rhapsody.
It all appears legit because one must first download their player and register, and they are a high-profile service.
The main catch is that you can listen to only 25 songs in their collection per month without paying.
The other catch is that the sound quality on a few songs is noticeably inferior to that of the CD itself. I don't know if becoming a paying customer of this service improves on that and I'm reluctant to find out.
So it appears the record labels are in cahoots with Rhapsody. It seems awfully nice of them to market their talent so openly yet it also seems awfully strange that most of Hayley's songs are available without any money changing hands.
Still, it's a great and wonderful thrill finally to hear all of "Bridal Ballad" -- a tune which Decca, in their infinite and mysterious wisdom, decided we Americans shouldn't have easy access to.
