Hi Joyce,
Let me tell you a funny story. I was also bidding on that same jade, and so was the person who sent it to you! I was so disappointed to lose the auction, because my sister forgot about the acution as I was away, but since there are 1000 pieces, I bet another one will show up soon. I'm so glad you got to get it!
You're a lucky woman!

Hi Jpyce,
Yeah, I was really disappointed, but as said, I'm sure another one will show up in due course. What a lovely friend you have from NZ!

Sorry for the mystery, Joyce. Magpies just reminded me of someone ..... whose Hayley Collection is increasing day by day. Well done for finding your latest treasures. Magpies (birds - cousins of the crows) love collecting shiny objects. They're good at taking valuables left lying around (rings, jewellery, etc.). Like this one: www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/0,1518,526445,00.html Rossini even wrote an opera about it, The Thieving Magpie. Paddy

That's interesting, Paddy! Looking at that link, it appears that ProBoards have finally sorted out the problem with visible commas in a url, and you didn't use the hyperlink tags. Richard

Richard Hi Richard, I remembered your previous advice about the url tags but, when I previewed the link without them, it worked ok. Paddy

Hi all, I just added a new piece of lovely merchandise to my Hayley collection - the paua pendant! I was going to buy it from Hayleystore, but figured it was just too expensive, especially with my trip coming up. So, Trademe came and saved me!! Here it is.. Can't wait to take it to the States and show it off!! Maybe it'll encourage album sales? Dori P.S. Joe, did yours come in a box or anything? Just curious.

Today i found the CD, They call me Hansi, from James Last in my postbox.(Thanks to Karsten ) It includes a very special version of Hayley"s ,Across the univesre of time, togehter with James Last Orchestra. It sounds more "pop" with extrra beats. Greetz JOYCE.................(..Maybe it is time for a new picture???) Hi Joyce, As there seem to be different opinions about this version anyone whio is unsure about getting it can listen to Hayley's 'live' TV performance with James Last here at HWI (it starts about one minute into the video). Richard may not like it but I do! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDon't miss the interview after the song! Cheers, Dave I know , I'm a bit slow Hayley could easily crack the pop / Dance and nightclub scene with music like this with a bit more defined drum and bass on it. would going from crossover to pop music be called "CROSSBACK" ? Having heard Japanese songs once or twice I think Hayley could leave a lot of top pop artists at the starting line..... I don't know if any of you were familiar with Kimera. I had her on a 12" LP Hits on Opera and it was great for parties where the age group went from 9 to 90 But have a look at a few of these : This one was also great for fashion shows and the likes . uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rJJD0SvrcqQuk.youtube.com/watch?v=FTkSF1ssfvkuk.youtube.com/watch?v=hWpC6fiO5-Euk.youtube.com/watch?v=edmX38qZaDAuk.youtube.com/watch?v=wbVDMJ-pUK4

Oh YES KIMERA !!!
I remember her!!.........was she from South Korea....., ..........for party's... a good example how classical music becomes partymusic using beats and drums..........I remember Hooked on Classics too !! I don't know if this is something for Hayley..........but if she wants to dance ...................on a new years party......well let's go for it !!! Oops, going off topic.........(i have 2 Kimera cd's in my collection!!) Greetz JOYCE.

I've never seen that performance of Across the Universe of Time before! It's absolutely spectacular! It's my favourite Hayley song, so that was quite a treat! I hope that Hayley does some poppy upbeat originals on her next album -- she does them so well.

Hello Jillian and everybody! I just watched that performance of 'Across the Universe of Time' for the first time in ages, and guess what?... I still don't like the backing! I did enjoy the performance of 'Pokarekare Ana' accompanied by the ukulele, even though the presenter played it in too high a key. Hayley certainly got him out of trouble there! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard (not a member of the James Last Fan Club, as you can tell!)

Hi everyone,
I am reviving this thread!
Albums
Hayley Westenra My Gift to You Pure UK/Australia Digital S/E Odyssey US Odyssey UK Re-release Amazing Grace: The Best of Hayley Celtic Treasure (Walmart S/E) Treasure UK Hayley Sings Japanese Songs
DVDs Live From New Zealand Celtic Woman: A New Journey
Books In Her Own Voice The World at Her Feet Celtic Woman Songbook
Other Hayley's Celtic Woman photograph CW: ANJ Programme WITA Poster Pure Pendant Pure Pens (red and green) And, although not in my hands at present, a copy of a brochure from a certain concert in England Christmas 2007 is waiting for me.
I know the list is lacking, but it has grown since my first post in this thread. At that time, all I had was Odyssey and the CW DVD! I can get the CDs and DVDs easily (relatively), but I have trouble getting magazines. Hopefully, my new subscription to Classic FM magazine will help solve that problem!
~NL
PS I have worn the Pure pendant to various concerts. It's travelled more than most of the musicians have! (school orchestra)
Edit: my list looks huge when posted!
