I have Meav's album. But I didn't realise, no. I have been listening to it throughout tonight, and I really like this album. I think it's almost my favourite actually! Though, I'm not surprised, as there are so many different composers involved (and I always love an eclectic album). My favourite song is probably 'I'm Kissing You' but I also love 'Jekyll'. I didn't even know that she had done all of these. There are some stinkers on here but I just pretend they don't exist. XD

Hi,
I bought this album last year and am really enjoying it. My favourite song which I don't have on any other album is 'I'm Kissing You.'
I noticed yesterday that the tracks from Odyssey are from 2007, does anyone know if Hayley re-recorded them for this album? Also does anyone know the lyrics to 'Flood'?
Many thanks,
David M

DM i take the point. i find though, that whichever of hayley's songs is my "favorite" tends to depend on my mood/ emotional needs/ the emotional resonance of the song [in the sense of having an echo from something in my world]. i need her to sing a protest song so when im all steamed up abt something i have an outlet my angry feelings. listening to hayley is more like a hug than the dartboard i sometimes require..... the spiderman

This is and always was a great album. My favourite though is "Listen to the Wind". There is a fair bit of unique stuff on it too. But it is a few years old now.

Hi Martin I like "Listen to the wind" too. Do you know if the Odyssey songs were re-recorded for this album, and do you know the lyrics to "Flood"? Thanks David P.S. Spiderman - could "Summer Fly" be a kind of protest song?

P.S. Spiderman - could "Summer Fly" be a kind of protest song? i dont really see how; what gets you there? summerfly to me is a cheerful little jig.... its more of a lamentation at the end of the season, though im thinking its an allegory for childhood. i suppose it has the right amount of energy, but by protest song im more thinking as much angst as "i hate the homecoming queen" or "paint it black"... something a bit more destructive so i can burn angry thoughts rather disapate them. though i suppose hayley is doing the world a favor by musically placating me

I suppose these words are kind of a protest: "Cryin' who's your partner, who's your darlin', who's your baby now? Who wakes up at night to pull you in It don't matter, you'll just make her lonely anyhow Don't know why you even try to win" I know what you mean though, I had to struggle to think of anything else. I think that is a compliment to Hayley and the type of soothing music she produces. For a protest song how about "Zombie" by the Cranberries. Sorry getting off topic! David

Hi David do you know the lyrics to "Flood"?
Thanks
David We all wondered that when we first heard the sound track - there actually are no real words as Hayley explains below. There is a thread on the movie and soundtrack HERE which is worth a read. Best wishes Grant

Do you know the answer to my other question re whether the Odyssey songs on this album we re-recorded? Hi David, "May it be" has that orchestral bit on the end on Prayer that isn't on Odyssey. However, the sleeve notes show the same engineers and recording and mixing locations for all of the Odyssey tracks on Prayer, so May it Be could have been a different take, or the Odyssey version might just have had the end cut off. I'm pretty sure the others are the same recordings. Martin D The others though

I think all of the recordings were the original recordings, not new ones. They just added the orchestration at the end of May it Be. Also, the track on River of Dreams has an orchestration at the end, too, although it sounds slightly different. And better, in my opinion. So the May it Be I saved to my computer is the River of Dreams one.
