Hi Everybody, I have decided to start new thread regarding single Promotional Cd's, DECCA have started to release these for both singles and albums, there is a separate thread under the heading of Albums for these. There are copies out there, if you look hard enough, and because of their rarity one day I think they will become collectible. I will add those I have to start, and look forward to receiving the members comments in due course. Best Wishes Steve Hayter

Hi Steve, Thanks for those nice photos, I look forward to seeing any others that you and other members have. We think that on balance, the best places for discussions and photos of Hayley's promo CDs are in the Singles main board (for singles promos) or the Albums main board (for albums promos). This thread (which started with Singles promos) has therefore been moved to the Singles board and renamed. Discussions and photos of promo CDs for Hayley's Albums can be posted in an equivalent thread in the Albums main board. Cheers, Dave.

Hey Steve,
Can the Promotional CDs only be found in the UK? I would love to own them as well as the one with The Water Is Wide.

Hi Yong Le, Promotional Cd's are not sold, but are used as a marketing tool, sent out to National and Local Radio station's, promoters, to anyone the manager wants to be aware of an imminent release or re-release, in the case of the Odyssey samplers. They will be timed to be issued before the release of the item being promoted. A very cost effective sales and marketing tool that can be used to target specific areas of the market. As to where to look for them, thats not so easy, they occasionally come up on ebay but fetch significantly more than the item they are promoting will cost! If you have a specific one in mind I will keep an eye out for you in the UK, and let you know if I find one. Until Hayley is more popularly recognised as a artist in the USA I think these promotional Cd's will be more difficult to find in the USA. But keep on looking!! by the way the photo's of you and Hayley are great, welcome to HWI and keep up the posting! Best Wishes Steve

Hi Steve, Yes, I know that they're not for sale but it is always nice to own something rare isn't it? I have the What You Never Know and the one with The Water is Wide. I would be more than happy to pay the shipping fees if you find one. Thanks!! Yong-Le

Hi All, No doubt quite a few 'HWI' members will have this "Promo" Mini CD Single in their music collection: 'Who Painted the Moon Black?' Many members will remember that this CD was associated with a 'Cola Cola/ Samsung' promotion in January 2004. I believe, with every purchase of one of these Mini CD Singles, a 'Samsung SGH-C100' mobile phone could be redeemed by the buyer. More details of this Promotion may be found at the following link: www.hayley-westenra-international.com/html/html-2004/scans/20040109_Coca-Cola-Samsung%20promotion.htmI know a guy who lives in Bolton, who acquired one of these just after the UK 'Pure' Tour, in March 2004. I own one that is extremely rare and I'm pretty sure that perhaps no one else here has it. It's the promotional version of Wuthering Heights single with the original video on track four. It's the single that Kate Bush stopped. 1. Wuthering Heights 2. Across the Universe of Time 3. My Heart and I 4. Wuthering Heights Video I don't really use it, and I don't really treasure it. I was going to send it to Keith as a get well present but unfortunately he left us before I went to send it. I'm sure it would have made him happy if he didnt' already have it. I don't have a scanner.... sorry I know it's worth a lot of money. I might sell it one day, but it's more than likely I will give it as a gift for someone when the appropriate time comes. I think it would be a very special present.
