Hi Everybody,

There seems to be a lot of interest in the Odyssey promotional CD, and many of you looking for it?

Well I hear on the grape vine that one copy will be up for grabs soon, so keep a close eye on this forum for more information! you could have your own copy sooner than you think!

Hehe... back on topic for the digital single The Water is Wide the song is now listed at here at 7digital.com for preorder at 77 pence and there is a sample you can play.

It is listed as a digital track not a digital single (which would bundle more than one track). I imagine that it's simply the album track, made available two weeks early for the fans - and to get airplay. Release date is stated as 27 March.

With the imminent release of the single, and it's inclusion in the new Odyssey CD, I thought I would post the lyrics for this lovely song, It is my favorite Hayley song and I can not wait to hear her sing it live, I wonder if she will sing it at Wembley?

She did her first public performance on that song when she was performing in Melbourne, Florida a week ago. I think she will definitely be singing that song live from then on... and she did pull it really well, as always.

Note that Hayley sings it as: "The water is wide, I cannnot get over"

Also notice the lyrical overlap with "Carrickfergus":

(As we speak, Hayley is probably flying over a very wide stretch of water - the Atlantic Ocean. i hope her arms don't get tired.}

OK you promo CD people, I know, I know! But I may be the first to officially *buy* it, LOL!

I downloaded the new UK digital single (it's just one track) just after midnight BST from the 7 Digital Hayley page
and it's absolutely gorgeous!

The lyrics have several changes from those listed by Steve and Steve above!

UK people (and *possibly* overseas people - you'll have to try it) can get this track from 7 Digital as above with no hassle and no need to download any I -Tunes style software. Credit card is needed to register and pay. 77 pence. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes. Their website confirms that their downloads are registered with the Official charts and they are listed/linked on the BBC's charts page.

It's excellent quality at 192 kbps, you can download it three times from different PCs, make 10 copies to CD, another 10 to portable players and another 10 to something else i don't recognise.

Here are the lyrics There is some ambiguity in line 1 of verse 2 marked # .. Hayley's diction seems to be perfectly clear but even so, "There" could really be "Their" (unlikely) and "oh" could be "o" or "o'er"

Dave, I did the download Sunday nite, curious to see the pence to dollars conversion.( its not posted as of Tuesday). Anyone else, you may need the codec in WMP10 to open the file, I don't like WMP10, but you can roll it back after the upgrade and the codecs stay in WMP9..........TimJ

Hi Tim, it's currently my favourite Hayley track, must have played it 50 times since Sunday night!

I downloaded it to my Windows desktop and ignored any mentions of Media Player 10 - which i don't like either. As you say, it plays absolutely fine in Media Player 9.

I have downloaded Hayley's digital single from Woolworths on-line site, cost 59pence. They also have "Do you hear what I hear", the version with Haley and The Choirboys,for those who do not want the whole Choirboys album.

I am attending Haley&Il divo concert at Wembley on 12th April, Block N13. Any plans for HWI members to meet up before the show?
