Hi Guys.
Well done on the latest updates and changes on the front page and the change of song, removing Hayley's 'farewell at Christmas' message. A delight to have a personal message from her to us but time has moved on and I was on the point of sending a PM to Roger to suggest changes ought to have been made. They have been. Well done, all.

Honest folks, they really do NOT pay me for this bit of journalism!
I had intended to post here a little later when I had a better grip of what I am going to mention but I jumped in immediately to comment on that lovely intro on the main site's main page before Hayley starts singing, an extract from a Hayley interview where she pays specific tribute to HWI, uses the term, 'HWI' and then explains its meaning. Great.
Now, the reason I had it in mind to post is that in replying to (was it Meldy who asked about details on Shrewsbury?) I referred her to my Shrewsbury 2005 post. Then I thought I ought to look it up and give her the reference.
It is the first time for a long time I have delved into the main site's page and therefore have only just discovered the extensive amount of background work that has been going on sorting, redesigning and restructuring that area.
I am nowhere near the programming levels of Dave, Richard or Roger, preferring software to do my programming for me and only under protest of necessity actually getting involved in code. I do have sufficient knowledge to know the extensive amount of unrewarding (until the final result eventually) mind-numbing work that is involved on this site's structure to achieve what has been achieved.
So I thought I would dive in to say so, while I am still finding my way round the revamped pages... and before complaining about what they have done with my Shrewsbury review, which may not have been on the main site but I felt sure had been posted at least with the thread if not as a review per se.
So, until I find it, or moan I can't, well done guys. You are certainly up to the standard that enables Hayley to actually (oh gosh, I actually said 'actually'!) have the confidence to draw attention to us.
Well done everyone. By the by, from which interview was it extracted.

Hi Peter and thank you sincerely for your very kind words. We are acutely aware that there is still much to be done in the archives of the main site but we are working on it. Well, Dave is working on it. I am just sticking in my two pennyworth once in a while! The interview was broadcast on Classic FM on 2nd March this year but had been recorded approximately two weeks earlier. In case anyone is wondering, we didn't pay her to say that either! Roger

Hear, hear (again)! They must be doing something right! It's great to see so many nationalities, ethnic and age groups brought together by one common theme - Roger Hayley. Martin

That is deep and full of meaning yet so simply expressed. Hayley has done a wonderful job in making people re-think previously entrenched attitudes from prejudiced tradition, as well as promoting Maori culture, let alone a more everyday awareness of NZ.
