What's happened to the Quick Reply window at the bottom of every page? There's nothing wrong with it; it's just not there any more!

I took it out. Do you want it back? It's simply the click of one button to do so.

Like Forum Jump, I felt that it was a feature with no real benefit. But, if you find it useful, that's no problem.

Personally, I'm not bothered either way. I just thought that, if people used it, it would reduce the possibility of clicking on "delete" or "modify" by accident (instead of "reply").

That's ok, Keith. I seldom use it. Also, without the'quick reply', the loading speed of the page is faster.

You are quite right though that you cannot quote when using quick reply. I therefore only tended to use it when I did not need to quote or use bold or smileys or any of that clever stuff. What does everyone else think?

My little boo-boo was an accident as well, and I'm being much more careful now, honest!

I've never used Quick Reply because I find the Preview function extremely useful, plus I'm not usually in that much of a hurry. I nearly always buy a long-period pass in the Internet Café because it's cheaper and doesn't put me under time pressure! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Actually I really like the 'Quick Reply' thing. Sometimes when you just want to say a couple of words its quicker than doing "reply."

But that's just my personal opinon! lol.

I agree with Natasha, by the way. The "Quick Reply" function doesn't appear to be obstructing anyone - for that reason alone, it should stay ... even if nobody ever made use of it - and by the way, I have made use of it myself , not just on this forum, but on other Proboard forums as well.

By the way, Keith, I do suggest you put the "Forum Jump" function back on too. Does that function obstruct anyone's use of this forum - or does it provide one additional means of navigation? If the latter is the case, why take it out?

You and I may never make use of it, but even if 0.01% of the visitors use it, why should it be taken out? (Unless this function significantly slows down the overall response of this forum ....)

If it doesn't, leave this (and any other "questionable") functions on!
