Thanks Fusilier, I have moved this topic to the 'Music thread' discussion board. It is not included in the 'Celtic Woman' thread as it is related to Méav's solo tour. Best wishes, Stephany

I hope I can go to this concert! It will be wonderful to hear Meav live especially since there's no chance of hearing her with Celtic Woman now. BTW, there is a gorgeous picture of Meav that's been taken for this tour: meavforum.com/index.php?topic=147.0 Looks like Meav will be quite busy even without CW!

Best bet is probably Tarrytown, Natasha. NYC is on Friday night and Sunday is at a casino.

From a duplicate thread, now locked... Meav, formerly of CW, is embarking on her first solo tour, with three dates in New York state and 2 in NH. I was going to go to the opener at the Nokia Theater in NYC, where I first saw Russell Watson, but was just told that concert has been cancelled. I can't do the next night in Tarrytown because that's the office Xmas party, which it would be impolitic to miss and the others are too far away. However, I do get a refund and, in retrospect, it was probably for the best, I'm kinda flooded at work and I frankly am not up for running into the folks from CWF. Dunno why this was, no reason was given.

From the same thread... Oh that's to bad that Meav had to cancel her concert! Hopefully she'll be able to come back sometime in the future... or maybe better, she'll head down to TN so I can see her when I'm away at school!

So maybe someone in the know can tell us how to pronounce her last name .... Is it Ni MHAolchatha or Ni mhaOLchatha?

Supposedly the NYC concert will be rescheduled, but, on second thought, I've decided I do not want anything further to do with CW or their fans, especially the leaders of that site. If anyone wants to know my reasons, they can ask me.

I'll be going to see her in Manchester, NH. I recently had a chance to interview her for my radio station. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out she's a very warm and gracious person as well as an excellent singer.

I'd pronounce it: nee vayl-choh-ah or nee wayl-choh-ahlong/double vowels in boldee as in kn eeay as in v eil oh as in not ah as in that Depends on the dialect. Paddy

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Today it has been announced that Meav, Yulia (from NZ) and Rita (from Israel) will perform a concert at the Chateau de Chambord in France on the 30th May 2012 and will be shown on PBS in the USA. Then they are going to tour the US in the Spring of 2013 as a Davinas tour singing Classical Crossover and Classical pop songs so any one in the USA might like to see these great female singers.

Meav is on "Friday Night is Music Night" on BBC Radio 2 right now. Just performing "The Last Rose of Summer" solo.
