Hello Stephany,
I'm glad you enjoyed Will's concert. I know I can't wait to attend his when he comes back home to New Zealand. He's a great performer.

Hello Dori, I'm afraid I didn't take any pictures. To be honest, I didn't even think about it. I also still don't have anything autographed by Will. I guess we were too busy joking around about the Pirate King No, seriously, I didn't even bring my camera or my CD insert - I'll probably do that when I know there is a proper signing session! It's a strange thing to say but, this time, it was more about catching up with a friend rather than just meeting with an artist. Grant, to answer your comment, Will is also looking forward to meeting the HWI group at the Classical Brits. I didn't tell him how many of us will be there but I know he will be quite impressed by our massive support for Hayley! Joe, thank you for your comment. Paul Wright, Will's manager, was indeed very helpful. He's also very funny Lots of love to you all, Stephany

Will sang a beautiful rendition of the NZ National Anthem at the rugby on saturday. Well done Will! (We also know Maria Forde who did a beautiful job of the Irish Anthem!) Sheila www.siobhanowen.com

Hello Richard, Thank you very much for the link to the Classic FM Podcast. It was an interesting interview. I was intrigued to hear that UCJ asked Will to record Pokarekare Ana for his debut album. I'm glad he didn't do it! Love Stephany xxx

Hi everybody! Here's an article about Will Martin published by the Australian Press Association. Will mentions briefly Hayley Westenra. There's also a radio interview here. The 23-year-old has recently released his debut album A New World, a modern mix of classical music featuring the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Martin, who's described as a bit of a Michael Buble, says he thinks he can get youth to finally embrace the genre. "The word classical can have a stigma of being boring for younger people, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way," he said. "I think the fact that I'm younger, it does help me to say `have a listen'."
Stephany

Hi Dori, Thanks - I added a picture to the article so feel free to use it. Just so you know, Will hopes to perform a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand next Summer (Winter for us in the Northern Hemisphere!). Stephany

Somebody bought me a compilation album called 'You Raise Me Up'. I love the song 'Into The West' so I made a beeline for the track, despite never having heard of Will Martin. I was so impressed and moved by it I went ahead to amazon to order it, only to find that it's not coming out until September! (this was back in April). I'm really looking forward to his album release. He also has a video up on the album's amazon page, which is marketing very directly towards Hayley's fanbase as it shows her several times. Watch it here: www.amazon.co.uk/New-World-Will-Martin/dp/B000YVCQZM/ref=wl_it_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1BHM0JHKET553&colid=2WBCSMLW50MP5

Hi Nicola, Until now, I had only heard one brief clip of Will's but I was immediately very impressed. I would probably have bought his album anyway but your post has given me the push I needed - I have now pre-ordered it! For anyone who is unaware, Track 10 features All Angels! Click HERE for details of a concert in London on Thursday which features Will (and Hayley!) to which many of us will be going. Roger

Hello Paulo - I have Yulia's album "Into the West'. She has a beautiful, deep, mature voice - she has very strange diction though. Her manager/husband wrote a message to me once when he saw my comment about her diction (oops - I'm glad the rest of the post was singing her praises otherwise I would have been very embarressed!) and said that she has worked through it since that album. But that's the only criticism I can make of the album. It's truly stunning. I think I prefer Will's arrangement, though, and it's different to hear a male voice sing it. I can't afford to go to any concerts at the moment. I'm at that dreaded point between having just finished a degree and looking for the first job. I'm on the last ounces of my student loan. ! I would have loved to attend though. I haven't seen Hayley in a while (since Sept 2005!), and I would have loved to have seen Will. I'm sure I'll get other chances. EDIT: I was just watching the clip again - his singing voice sounds a lot like Aled Jones, don't you think?
