so excited about this new album- I love Josh and his voice- not out for ages though! February 5th is only 3 months away, less actually! After waiting from 2007 to 2010 (and 2007 was a Christmas album)... now THAT was ages! 3 months is way better than 3 years!

Is it released on the same date everywhere or is the Feb date only US? from what I saw it can be pre-ordered from amazon US site but not UK site at the moment- I'm wondering where is best to order from- apparently there is a version you can get from his site which is a special version.

I'm not sure about the UK or anywhere else right now. All they said was Feb. 5th, and didn't specify where. If you search for his album in Amazon UK, will it lead you to the site and say when it will be released?
If you want the special edition, you have to be a "friend of Josh Groban". As soon as I saw the announcement I renewed my membership. Last time, though, I didn't end up getting the extra songs. I don't remember why. But I mostly signed up for access to concert presales, which actually only got me row 10, but that was actually better than row 1 the other time, because a bunch of people are allowed to line up in front of the stage towards the end of the show, which makes it very hard to see when you're in first row or 2. So my row 1 seat did not end up being worth the money because of that issue.
For Awake, they actually sold a special edition version at Target for a limited time, but there were still a few extra songs you could only get via his website. One of them was Smile. I don't care for that song, so I didn't miss it by not ordering the online version.
Right now I'm just going to wait and see.

I'm sure the international release dates will be given in due time.

Hello Libby! I've just checked HMV.com. 'All That Echoes' isn't listed there as yet. Richard

Josh is going to sing a "Hayley" song! By that, I mean, a song that Hayley sang before he did! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe song is She Moved Through the Fair. I've never heard it performed by a guy before, although the lyrics do seem to be from a man's point of view. He's also singing the song The Moon's a Harsh Mistress, which I know from Celtic Woman, although it's not a "celtic" song. I heard Lynn Hilary sing it on tour, and I just listened to Lisa Kelly's version from Songs from the Heart. I think Josh's version will be even better, IMO. It sounds like he's also singing a song in Danish!? Well, the song is in Danish (I think), but he didn't actually say whether the whole song was in Danish or not, just that it was a song by a Danish band. I found all this out from his recent video blog, here: www.joshgroban.com/news/2012-12-06/all-echoes-track-listing-video-reveal-josh?fb_action_ids=460817463965001&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=timeline_og&action_object_map= So all of this is going by his account, no actual tracklisting is available for viewing yet.

So, it turns out the song by the Danish band is in English, not Danish. I'm a little disappointed because Danish isn't a language you hear everyday (unless you live in Denmark, I suppose), so I thought it would be really unique. So the song is called Hollow Talk, by the band Choir of Young Believers. I listened to it on youtube, and it sounds pretty good, but from what Josh says, I think his version will be extra good.

Here's a behind the scenes music video of Brave. www.youtube.com/watch?v=63BnhyTQJlw&feature=youtu.beThis is the first time I listened to it.. then I listened 2 more times after that. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I like it very much. I normally don't like so much when he sings extra high, because sometimes it sounds too strained, but here it sounded very good. Catchy song, too. My only criticism is that Sweeney the dog was not featured in the video, since he obviously spent a lot of time in the studio with Josh! I just hope he's able to perform it to perfection in concert, because he's been known to go flat in concert. However, during his last tour, he was spot on in every song. Of course that's the year they decide not to put out a live DVD!

Hi Libby!
I know! Why wasn't there a DVD for the Straight to You tour! I would have loved that... especially as it didn't come to Australia. Hopefully Aus will be on the list this next time!

He didn't tour in Australia?? Oh no, I feel really sorry for you now! Between that, and having to wait 2 weeks longer than most of the world to see The Hobbit! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI remember noticing for the Awake tour dates, he was scheduled to be in Auckland, but then like a few days before the date, it disappeared! So, I think NZ missed out on Josh that year. I sure hope you get to see him someday! He is sooo much fun to see in concert. He is always hilarious, and last time his singing was extra good, too (not that it wasn't good other times, too, but he just nailed the notes a lot better). The only DVD they put out that I know of was from the early concerts he did before the "real" tour started. I think Nicola went to one of these that he did in London. It was smaller, more "intimate" settings, the kind Hayley likes, I guess. But there aren't all the songs on it!

Is it available for purchase? No, he didn't make it to Australia on the STY tour. He was here for Awake, but I hadn't discovered him then. Fingers crossed for this time

Yes, they're supposedly sending it to me for my Friends of Josh Groban package year 8... although, in pre-ordering the new album on the site, they also signed me up for year 9. I'm not so sure I'm going to bother with FOJG after this. It didn't help me get the best seats at his concert. They were pretty good, though, so I might have to keep forking over the money for now. LOL I think the concerts were called Before We Begin, or something. I just checked his website, and I can't find it in the store. I couldn't find it on Amazon, either. I haven't received my year 8 package yet. I will be very annoyed if after all the money I've spent, I don't get the stuff. Last time I got a calendar. I didn't really want the calendar, but the box it came in is very nice for keeping pet bunnies entertained. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
