Hi everyone! Have I been busy! It seems like I haven't gotten a chance to sleep for the past weeks. I turned in the 75 essays I've written since the beginning of the school year for English class last Wednesday. Boy does it feel great to have those done. I've also managed to complete the school work I was behind on from my last trip around the country. So when I went to NYC this weekend I was mostly caught up. Today I went back to school (exhausted I might add), and was sitting in math class reviewing my notes and asking my friend Tess a question when I heard my name. I looked up and the teacher was saying that I was excused at 2pm to go to rehearsal before the concert. I turned to Tess and said, "What concert?!" and she just shrugged. I asked Clare and Sarah and they told me it was for vocal ensemble. So I had a vocal ensemble concert today that I had NO idea about. I think I had rehearsed the piece once before too. After that concert I went directly to the orchestra dress rehearsal. Rehearsal went well, but we had to iron out some kinks of performing in a new place. I think I'll be practicing tomorrow during school to be sure I'm ready for the concert tomorrow night. Especially because the concert is going to be made into DVD's, and also broadcast on public television. Jon, I LOVE your poem. Do you mind if I put it on the picture? I'm glad you're writing and sharing your poetry again. Kris,I know we haven't spoken in SUCH a long time! I'm actually not dancing anymore (for the moment). I'm doing an internship with one of the main theatres in the Twin Cities. It's really exciting, and I feel so fortunate for this opportunity. In fact, I was "celebrated" at today's lyceum for school for being an ambassador to the school. I want to say a big thank-you to everyone for all the support, well wishes etc that you've given me. It really means a lot. So THANK YOU! <3 Caite

Hi everyone! My concert went really well and I had a blast doing it. Except the piano keys stuck so sometimes the notes didn't come out. What a pain that was! Ah well. Last Friday because it was so nice outside I spent my afternoon in the park. I happened to have my French Horn with me because of an orchestra rehearsal ealier in the day. Eric, one of my fellow students/musicians came out with his guitar and we had a "jam" session. I recalled how to play Elenor Rigby on my horn (I had played it two years ago) and we played that in various styles: jazz, ska, classical, and the "normal" way. Someone was kind enough to give me the pictures they took! <3 Caite

Hi Caite
Great photos - it looks like the weather's warm too. I'm pleased that you still have time in your hectic schedule for a quick "jamming " session.

Hi Joe and Stephany! I'm glad you enjoyed the part about Nemo. I just added a video to youtube. It's me singing "Steal Away" acappella. I know I'm turned sideways -sorry about that- I just don't know how to turn the picture right-side up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KpJLYGSiRIEnjoy! <3 Caite

Hey Caite, I already told you what I thought of the video but I will share my opinion with everyone here anyway : your singing is FABULOUS, I really enjoyed listening to you and I sincerely hope you will share many more videos of you singing with us in the near future. You chose a very difficult song but you sang it perfectly. Very well-done ! Stephany
