I've just realized I never posted a hello....... until now.
My name's Erin but my online name is KiernanKate, after my favorite Star Trek actress Katherine Kiernan Mulgrew....aka Kate Mulgrew.
What to say about me.........
Well I'm a 21 year old girl living in small town Stony Plain in the lovely Canadian province of Alberta. It gets kinda boring here at times, but mostly I love small town life.
I was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida, and have a speech impediment and some mobility issues as well but I refuse to let them stop me from doing what I want to do, which is for the most part to enjoy my life and act as if I'm completely normal because really..... aren't we all a little abnormal in some way shape or form?
Anyhoo..... not to bore ya or anything but I have always loved to sing, and am currently about to begin my 5th year of formal voice training, to go along with my piano and fiddle.
Looking forward to meeting you all... talk to ya soon.

Hi Erin!
What I love about this Forum it seems to just make people open up and be themselves. All credit to you! So you have a few problems but they don't seem to be holding you back from doing what you want to.
Our lives are what we make them and I know mine has been enriched by Hayley's loving and caring personality. I feel so privileged to have met her so many times and I hope that you will get to meet her in due time.
Very best wishes Grant

I'm glad you got to meet her for yourself, she seems like a great person.. and putting aside my being a fan for a minute....... she just seems to be the type of person around my age that I would like to get to know.

Welcome Erin! Lovely to meet you! Thanks for sharing. I'll tell ya a little about me. Most everyone calls me Joey and I have a twin brother called John. We live in a small town in Pennsylvania...Forest City. It was once a booming coal mining town...now it's almost a ghost town. I've been here at HWI for almost four years. The friendship here is incredible. I wish some of my family was this close! I've been to only one of Hayley's concerts..2 years ago. That was in Easton PA (near Allentown...think of the Billy Joel song). At that concert, I met TimJ, and also Natasha and Steven O.(fusilier) from this forum. I missed my chance to meet Hayley. She had to dash back to New York City and couldn't stay. I didn't fancy waiting at back of the theatre's back door in a dark alley...not to mention the pouring rain. Good job Tim and Steven did! Again, glad you're here Erin. It would be my pleasure to meet you. Good luck w/ your singing and instrumentation learning. True, we all have faults of some kind ...but it's what is on the inside what matters most

Thank you Joey (may I call you that as well?). Great that you got to see Hayley in concert, that must have been a great experience for you. Thank you for the well wishes on my learning fiddle and voice(singing). And it is without a doubt what's on the inside that counts.
Appearances are only skin deep after all.

Hi Erin,
It's lovely to meet you and learn more about you. Thanks for sharing! About the avatar, is there one picture you would love to use? I could reduce the image, upload it on the internet and then send you the link so you can put the URL in your profile. Don't hesitate to ask for help!
Jo(ey), I didn't know you never had the opportunity to actually meet Hayley. You've supported her from the very beginning and you really deserve to have a personal meeting with her. This very special day will come and I'm sure you'll enjoy this more than anything else.

Hello again Erin! Thanks for telling us more about yourself. With your determination, I'm sure you will do well with your singing and fiddle playing, and I hope you get the chance to see Hayley in concert and meet her soon. I promise you will definitely enjoy the experience. I've known her for four years now, and I've met her twenty times at various concerts during that time! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi Erin Thanks so much for telling us all about yourself. Good luck with the singing and fiddle playing I'm also a Star Trek fan by the way, but more the original version - you know, Mr Spock & Captain Kirk I'm pleased that you have introduced yourself as in another thread, I wasn't sure if I should call you Erin - but now I know its ok. I'm sure that Hayley will get to Canada at some point in the future and I really do hop you get the chance to meet her. She is a truly lovely person as well as a fantastic & unique singer Very best wishes from Oxfordshire, England Mark
