Hi Monte! What a wonderful place you come from. Welcome to HWI, another wonderful place filled with lovely information, amazing people, and some stunning sunsets from all over the world (including Lake Michigan!...see the Photography Thread in Off-Topic Discussion). I spent lots of time on the shores of Lake Michigan (MI side) growing up (though I'm still growing up, haha) and it's where my second home is. Welcome once again and thanks for the first part of your Hayley discovery story. <3 Caite

Part 2 I soon discovered the rest of HWI and proceeded to look at the radio and video sections. I viewed everyone as well as the live in NZ interviews and was very impressed with Hayley, she did not seem to out of place and had a natural ease to chatting. By now I had learned all about her awards and all the UN stuff she has been doing. I came to the conclusion that there was much more to her than music. I have seen and read everything out on the net and there was a constant theme, this was not act.
For I could plainly see that she is a beautiful person not just on the outside but inside where it really counts, she has a fantastic spirit and a most beautiful soul, the most beautiful that I have ever encountered.
I know just from all your posts and you’ll talking to her and the things she does that this is true. I also know this is why we are here, she is more than just a singer, she is a great person!
She will always have a friend in me for she has touched my soul. Love Always James

A very touching post Monte
It is hard to believe, isn't it? That Hayley is such an amazing person. We are so conditioned, these days, to look for the real person behind the facade.
As you have already discovered, with Hayley there is no facade, she is truly the most beautiful person you could wish to meet. I am close to 60 years of age and have never before met a person like her. If I were to live another 60 years, I would think it remarkable if I ever met anyone like her again!
What's more, she seems to have the effect on people that makes them want to be like her. I often find myself, when I'm getting annoyed or frustrated, thinking "Hayley wouldn't like me like this!"
From the friendship, love and affection that resides amongst the members of this forum, it would seem she has that affect on pretty much everyone she meets (anyone with a soul that is!). I have no doubt you will find the same.
Very best wishes Grant

Hello Monte! Thanks for sharing your story with us. What makes it all the more touching is that you haven't actually met Hayley yet, but you have exactly the same opinion as those of us who have. I met Hayley for the first time only twelve days after I first heard her on 'Pure', and a few hours before I saw her singing live at my first concert in October 2003. I'm sure your turn will come soon, then you'll really be up in the clouds with a new story to tell! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hi Monte,
Grant mentioned that it is hard to believe that Hayley is such an amazing person. Well actually, no it isn't. Not meaning to detract in any way from her delightful and caring nature, but if you had met her parents as I have done, you would know exactly why she is so special.
And we mustn't forget her siblings, Sophie and Isaac who are also superb singers and just as delightful and caring as Hayley. If there was a competition for the nicest family in the world, my vote would certainly go to the Westenras.
Unashamedly Westenwowed, Roger

Hi Roger Perhaps you misunderstood my comment i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I wasn't actually suggesting that it is hard to believe Hayley is such an amazing person. I totally agree with you, it isn't! But in the context of our world's seeming expectation that we cannot accept much of what we see at face value, Hayley is the exception, not the rule. Maybe I didn't say it very well before - perhaps I'm not saying what I mean much better now - just wanted to try to clarify! I too have met her mum and dad, albeit only briefly and, just like her management team, I found them very warm and friendly. I haven't met Sophie or Isaac and I hope I will have the pleasure of that before too long. Best wishes Grant
