Joe, thanks for all of the great information on the family. "The Sound of Music" was and still is, one of my favorite movies of all time. Over the years since its release, I learned to play most of the songs in the show on the guitar. I call it the "Sound of Music Medley" and perform it frequently....or at least I used to.
But getting back to your posts, it's great to know some of the history of the Von Trapp family and where they are today. Also, I was aware that some of the children perform, but I've not heard them before. I plan to now. Thanks again for the great information. Cheers, Gene

What I find fascinating in this is the right 2nd row down where the faces change automatically. It is immediately obvious in the girls but it took the second phase through for me to recognise it in the boy, how the facial features so clearly state they are all related.

The von Trapp Children are also some of the singers I enjoy. I think it is so refreshing to see a group of siblings singing together. They are home-schooled also, which is quite neat.

Hi Sonata58,
I just received the concert DVD and it's better beyond any words I can say.
Their song "J'entends Le Moulin" was amazing! Mozart's "The Overture to Die Zauberflöte" (The Magic Flute) was done a capella...brilliantly performed. The song "Ari Rang" is a Korean song.
I liked some of of the songs from the musicals Oliver, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Sound of Music .
My favorite had to be "Per La Gloria D'adorarvi"... an aria from the opera "Griselda". Sung solo by Sofia in a most magnicifient voice. One of Pavarotti's most treasured pieces.
A truly delightful concert.
