I know what your thinking, where's Hayley? Well, I just couldn't enter her in this poll because this after all a Hayley forum, and we'd all end up voting for her.... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello again Natasha! This was a difficult decision, because all the singers in your poll are exceptional. I voted for Becky Jane Taylor because I really like her version of "You Raise Me Up". i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheerio for now, Richard

Hi Natasha, Another great poll and you were quite right not to include Hayley for the reason you gave. It was an incredibly difficult decision but I also had to give it to Becky, largely due to her version of You Raise Me Up. Also because I will be seeing her in a couple of weeks and I want to be in her good books! lol Go Becky, go Roger

OUCH!! You've done it again Natasha. This is far more searching than it first appears and really makes you think. I was seriously split between two of them. Becky and Holly. Becky's music I absolutely love, expecially You Raise Me Up but, she was at a considerable disadvantage. When you have sat in a sports hall to hear Holly sing live and, without amplification, she effortlessly fills the entire hall with sound, you know you are seeing something very special. Then, the sheer beauty of her voice, combined with very moving songs, leaves you absolutely breathless. During the interval of this concert, both Lewis and I had to go outside. Me because my knees had gone weak from the emotion. Lewis because he was almost in tears it was so beautiful. So, when it came down to a final decision, Holly took it all hands down. But, how hard to choose one out of a line up of excellent artistes. Keith.

Hi All,
Good selection of choices there Natasha,
I went for Sarah Brightman, we have 2 of her albums at home and I was impressed with the style of music she does. I enjoy the poppy stuff.
And also I have'nt heard any material from the other female artists here apart from Katherine Jenkins, but I dont classify her as crossover.

I was split between Katherine, Sarah, and Yulia; but voted for Sarah in the end. I love her style and versatility.

My choice was between Holly and Yulia - and I went for Yulia. Then again, even if Hayley was included, I would have still chosen Yulia. I have become more and more captivated by her voice, even though she has at this stage only one CD to her credit.
Personally though, I think that this poll should be run again after Holly has issued a new CD. We have to base judgement of her talents on a CD that's getting close to 3 years old. And 14 years old or 17 years old - that does make quite a difference!
Cheers
Gerrit

Hi Emmett, Hunt no longer, the one you want is here: www.beckytaylorfans.netfirms.com/multimedia.htmlThen select 'You Raise Me Up'. Admittedly some of the longshots in the video are a little hazy but the close-ups are fine. Best of all, the song, and Becky's performance are absolutely lovely. I would urge anyyone else who has not heard Becky to give this a try too. Yes, okay, I'm canvassing for votes here! Roger

With 10 votes in, the poll is looking very interesting. So far Keedie is yet to score. Yulia and Holly have 1 vote each and Katherine has 2. So far, that is more or less what I would have expected at this point but..... Out in front are Sarah and Becky with 3 each. Of course Sarah, with all her experience and the most famous name of all, was always going to do well. But to see Becky neck and neck with her is fantastic. But it's not over yet folks, so keep your votes coming. Roger
