For me, Hayley's association with CW makes a very interesting and thoroughly enjoyable chapter... but I would not wish to read an entire book of it.

Hi Roger and all, I personally see the limits as something like "dipping in and out" for perhaps another year or so, depending on what other oppurtunities come her way. If she is bringing in the income from this that I suspect she might be, in might be hard to turn her back on it. One thing though - I cant help but feel there there is a sort of sea change happening just under our radar. I sense that the "Pure era" is running its course. I simply cant see it as being viable in its current aspect when she is 25 for example - unless she is willing to accept a very limited niche and have a functioning career at that level. One irony of course, is that among other things, this "chapter" might give her the wherewithal to do just that. If she were to continue this, and other projects like it, she probably could also afford to produce a CD every couple of years which sells to 50,000 people if that is what she wants to do. Personally, I dont see that - at the very least she apparantly has the driven work ethic of a much more ambitious person - but I could be wrong. For Hayley perhaps it is the singing more than anything else, and simply making a good career of that. Selling CD's is one way of course - but CW seems to be working pretty well for her at the moment as well. Still, I strongly suspect that she is going to come out of the other end of this a bit different than she was. This is if the change isnt already occurring. Many of us have said that we like the song Summer Fly - but I will note that the subject matter of that song hasnt seen too much scutiny Summer Fly would not have flown in the Summer of 2004..... Jon

... If she is bringing in the income from this that I suspect she might be, in might be hard to turn her back on it. ... That's a pretty big if, Jon. CW is selling tickets and appears to be raking in money, but for whom? It costs a fortune to mount that show and keep it moving from place to place. The number of people on the payroll must be in the dozens. Not to mention the lion's share of profits likely goes to CW's creators. I'd be flabbergasted if any of the five singers is getting even slightly rich off this.

Hi everyone, I have been through Ticketek's newsletter and there is no mention of a tour here in Nov/Dec at all. I am wondering if this is just hearsay or a possibility. I would have thought that if this part of the proposed tour is to go ahead, there would have been some mention of it by now, even though tickets won't be available yet.
If it does go ahead, it would be a great lead up to Hayley's own tour for NZ and AUS,after Hayley's well earned Christmas Break with her folks.
I guess we will have to wait and see what develops.
cheers,
Rodders CH CH NZ.

Hi Rodders, I'm guessing that they have a list of provisional dates for this tour. They are probably still finalising their plans for each venue so I don't think it's a surprise if the dates & booking details are not yet available. The group will definitely tour in your part of the world. Though I think you should rather wait for an official word of Hayley's participation - we never know ! Best wishes, Stephany

Maybe Hayley will be switching off out of the states too. I just thought because CW are know in the states, they would introduce Hayley to more audiences and then since CW wasn't very well known in Europe like Hayley, Hayley would introduce CW. But it's up to Hayley, she makes wise decisions.

Hi all, i been checking out the cw website, and i cant see anything relating to a tour over here in aus, i hope it does happen though, ill be the first in line!!! As for the comments on hayleys involvement with cw, i find it very confusing why all the concern, as far as i can see, she is having a great time, learning new things and getting experiences she wouldnt get on her own. This will only do her favours as far as im concerned. Her voice goes very well with the other girls, for example, the last rose of summer with meav. I am a great fan of all music, i love everything from pantera and metallica, to ABBA. I see the beauty in all music. I think we should be careful not to put any artist in any catagory, just appreciate the music for what it is and what it does for you.

Hi Galvin,
I agree with everything you say about Hayley's involvement with CW except that it should now be written in the past tense. It was never intended that it should last indefinitely and her final appearance with them was in Salt Lake City on 22nd May (because the one in Denver two days later was postponed due to weather conditions).
We have been advised that her association with them is now over. The only reason emanating from her management team is so she can concentrate on her solo career.
I also agree that she should not be tied to one particular musical genre. More importantly, so does Hayley. She has said in the past that she want to have the choice and, as well as Classical, Crossover, Pop, Celtic and Folk, we have also known her to perform a jazz number - 'a duet of 'Chattanooga Choo Choo' with Heather Small!

'Celtic Woman' will be touring Japan from November 26 to December 1, 2007. According to the CW Japanese official website, they will perform the show 'A New Journey' in three different cities. November, 26 - Tokyo November, 27 - Tokyo November, 28 - Tokyo November, 29 - Osaka December, 1 - Nagoya At least, they are not advertising the tour with Hayley. Phew! Nothing has been announced yet on www.celticwoman.comNo word has been given for a NZ/Australia tour either. Stephany

Don't worry, Stephany! Once we have absolute confirmation that Hayley will have no further involvement with Celtic Woman, we will probably combine all the threads on a single Celtic Woman sub-board. Meanwhile I suggest we leave the threads as they are. Best Wishes, Richard
