WOW! Well done for spotting that, Stephany. Yesterday was an exceptionally busy day on the forum - 235 posts from midnight to midnight (BST) was very nearly an all time record. You are quite right, the previous record was 44 users online at one time. Okay, let's see if we can reach 60! Roger |

Hi all, Today at 5:49 AM (GMT) we were 51 users online. I believe the previous record was 44 (in April 2006). Is that a consequence of the "West side Story" effect? Stephany  Assuming that most of these were International users (except for UK insomniacs) then this is great news and really endorses the International aspect of the forum. Martin |

That's great that there were 51 users online at one time...a new record for the forum! I do hope that a majority of our guests become members quite soon!

Hi Stephany, This very same question is being asked by Proboards forum admins everywhere. Many forums are receiving record numbers of users at one time. My forum had 56 guests a few days ago. According to Proboards own support forum, an increase in web traffic and the improvements to the Yahoo! search engine are the likely reasons. So more people are locating our HWI forum more easily. Lets hope that all of these guests become members soon ! Joe |

I just tried this a minute ago.
I logged in and signed in,
I opened another three windows and went to HWI forum on each of them and the number of guests increased.
I then closed them in quick succession and the number of guests went down.
It appears to be counting each members open windows as well .

Or maybe it was just a coincidence. ?
P.S. again.....
Or maybe people are getting to much of reality TV and bad news and are looking for something from the better side of life,
something gentle, something pleasant .
