Well, there are new Angels on the block! Universal Classics & Jazz seem set to spend big money promoting All Angels and their debut album - due for release in the UK in November or, possibly, as early as 30th October. They advertised them today in Music Week with full page spreads on the front two pages! So far, it looks like their sound will be more on the classical side of crossover - rather than the pop side, or at least a much lighter sound than recent classical crossover acts. Judging by the short sample on their website, their "sound" will be music to the ears of most Hayley fans. Perhaps, too, if they will be getting a BIG launch, it's part of the reason why Hayley decided not to release anything this Christmas? Anyway, I love the sound of the only short clip I can find so far... Songbird (think 'Eva Cassidy'). Here are details of their website: www.allangelsofficial.com which contains lots of background information. Here is a photo: Dave

Hello again everyone! I can't find an All Angels tracklisting anywhere yet so here's the background info from their website, which mentions several of the tracks. I am really looking forward to hearing this album. Cheers, Dave

Is that hair real Dave or are they all using Grecian 2006?

Well Drew, I think someone at Universal loves that hairstyle and colouring and thinks it's angelic... it's reminiscent of Hayley's original "Pure" look. Perhaps they are hoping Hayley's success will rub off on All Angels! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Is that hair real Dave....? I can assure you that Dave's hair is real. It's previous owner can vouch for that! Dave, this new group could be a really good find. How did you stumble upon them? Provided that brief clip is typical of their repertoire, I will definitely be buying the CD. Roger

Thanks for the heads up on this, Dave. These girls' harmonies sound very good. I think their debut album will do very well, especially if they get a lot of promo. The name 'All Angels' is quite interesting...not something I would have chosen. Hmm...so if Amici Forever is the first opera group, and All Angels is the first female classical group, and Il Divo is the first male classical group, and The Choirboys are the first choir boyband, that doesn't leave very many more classical groups to be the first! I'll be waiting to hear more of their singing.

Hi Roger and Cathleen, Yes, the harmonies in that clip are gorgeous! I didn't stumble upon them, UCJ shoved them in my face... all over the front cover - and the inside cover... of today's Music Week magazine. It had a link to their website (I'd never have guessed the website name otherwise). If UCJ push this album hard enough, Hayley's UK record of the fastest selling debut classical album could be in danger so do not buy it in the first week!As for the hair, well yes it's all mine... what's left of it! Cheers, Dave

Hi Cathleen, There is always the Forum Crooners! I have just listened again to the brief sample of All Angels. I was so taken with the lovely vocals that I hardly noticed the accompaniment the first time around. The simplicity of the solo piano is perfect and, in combination with the vocals, the effect is absolutely delightful. Already, I think this could be the best thing I have heard since Hayley. With the right promo, this could be massive. Good luck to them. Roger

Hi all, Indeed the girls have amazing harmonies. The accompaniment is very subtle. All four already have had exciting lives. I wish them well and may their recording be successful! I like the name "All Angels"...although I thought of "For Angels". A play on "four angels". Joe

I remember when they photoshopped her hair black for the Pure photoshoot. Frightful. Was it Hayley's hair colour that sold Pure? I have just cast my vote on the Hayley haircolour poll. Should we start one for All Angels? To me black means "Goth" not "Angel"!

Hello Dave and everybody! All Angels sing in beautiful harmony, and they are really going to give Il Divo some competition! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI wish them every success, and I'll be looking out for their CD. Best Wishes, Richard

The name 'All Angels' is quite interesting...not something I would have chosen. Expressed like that it does make them sound like a church rather than a choir! Peter S.

Best Wishes, Richard Hi Richard, I would like to echo that! I saw in the paper at the weekend that Universal have spent £2M in their quest for these four girls, so they must be in it for the long haul. If I can find the piece I will scan it tonight. Best Wishes See you in ? days at Cadogan, exit stage door! Steve H
