I know this has been mentioned on the Odyssey board but think it's worth repeating it here. All large branches of HMV (UK) now appear to be selling Hayley's imported Odyssey album (Australian version). Not only the big cities like London and Manchester are stocking it but many smaller cities and towns such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Dundee have it, too. So... if you are impatient and are willing to spend £17.99 on the imported version, you know where you can get it!

Hello Dave! Believe it or not, I actually went to Portsmouth today! I can confirm that I saw three copies of the Australian "Odyssey" in HMV in the City Centre, and one copy in HMV at Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre, near Portsmouth Harbour Station. I'm back in London now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you next month, Richard

Richard Hehe, what a coincidence, you were probably looking at Odyssey in the City Centre branch as the lady I phoned scurried over to check if they had any! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI found out about HMV Dundee from someone who has nothing to do with Hayley forums but who bought one himself at the weekend... so it's not only us! Did you get a good look at the Spinnaker Tower while you were at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth? It's just a few miles down the road from me. Is that you hiding behind the ferry, below?

Hello again Dave! I couldn't miss the Spinnaker Tower! Actually I'm not impressed by its design, and I don't like heights, so I won't ever be going up it! I'd better get this thread back on topic, so I'm going home to listen to my copy of "Odyssey" again! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifTatty-bye from London, Richard

HI All, It was mentioned the sale of imported 'Odysesy' affecting UK sales. Althiough I for one will still purchase the UK edition and I was very pleased to be able to listen to my advanced copy. Is there a reason that the import is becomming so readily available?
Denis.

Hi Denis,
I imagine it is merely down to free enterprise. When I first discovered Hayley's early New Zealand releases in HMV in London, I asked why it was they came to have them. They explained that they have reps all over the world constantly looking for CDs for which they feel there is a potential market in the UK (and elsewhere). They then offer these items to the various stores (no doubt through their head office) from which orders to import them are subsequently made.
As far as I know, it is only HMV who have latched on to Odyssey so far. Has anyone seen them in any other UK store?
Roger

Hi Denis and Roger, I agree with what Roger said about HMV - and to put it another way, HMV are simply THE BEST easily accessible music store in the UK for obtaining hard-to-get CDs. The only other place I've noticed selling the Odyssey import in the UK is Amazon, but they have mis-spelled Hayley's surname AND the name of the album so I don't think they will be selling many! I have twice emailed Amazon UK to try and get the details corrected - It might help if others would do the same as they have ignored me so far Here is the pageCheers, Dave

HMV HK is also the easily accessible music store in HK for obtaining hard-to-get CDs.
I also would like to send a email to tell them the spellings are wrong. But I can't find the address.

I have sent mine. I hope someone is reading our emails. Amazon should not make big mistakes like that.

Hi Guys, I just sent them an email too. Hopefully with our bombardment of emails they act fast. I can't believe someone actually done it and I'm surprised by Amazon. Someone must have had a crazy night prior to producing that mistake :zz . Emmett
