Hi Belinda, Good to see you are going to the cd signing on Friday, don't mind me I always ask silly questions..... I hope you are able to get those interviews, and hopefully they might end up on here some time. Interesting to see the album got released on cassette!! I did'nt even know they made them anymore apart from blank ones. Enjoy yourself on Friday i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. Emmett

She was astonished when I showed her my 'Pure' cassette. I must admit, I am surprised that either album is available on cassette these days. I suppose someone still buys them. Roger

Hmm, it is a bit odd that they still produce albums on cassette these days.
Some people might buy them to play in the car if it doesn't have a CD player in it. I would!!
I'm sure in a several years, though, that cassettes will probably not exist anymore.

With cassettes, I suppose they would make good collectors items in the long run. And the advantage is that at least they don't get scratched like cd's. I wonder did it 'Pure' ever come out on vinyl, now that would be rare. Cathleen, I wonder how long before cd's will no longer be sold especially now with everything going digital. People will just download music, the only record shops around will sell 2nd hands or old vinyl . Emmett

Hello everybody! I've seen a cassette tape of "Pure". Personally I've always found tape cassettes very inferior to CDs. If you play them with dirty or magnetised heads the sound soon becomes permanently damaged, and sometimes the tape jams or becomes mangled. The same comments apply if you compare video tapes with DVDs. I expect "Odyssey" will be available on cassette in the UK, but there won't be many in the shops because most people buy CDs these days. Bye for now, Richard

I think soon everyone will be buying their music in mp3 format.

I think mp3 will not be the future, because compression is not enough. And we need real multi chanal technologies also, which is not supported by mp3-files.. cu Lothar

Hello everybody! Another advantage of CDs is you usually get a nice booklet with lots of pictures and information. You don't get that with MP3s. I've already seen some of the photographs in the "Odyssey" booklet, and they look absolutely wonderful! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

[ Hi, Yesterday after work i went to the Cd signing of Odyssey at Sounds Music Store,Cashel Mall ,Christchurch.
I got there at one, and Hayley was already there signing cds,i joined the line and was speaking to a French woman who was getting a copy of the cd to take back to france to her nieces who love Hayleys music. as we were there the cd was playing i said to the lady the next song is nice My Heart Belongs To You and when she heard it she agreed, then i said have your nieces a computer and she said yes so i gave them a HWI card , i just happened to have one with me,in front of me was a girl who had gone to school with Hayley,we let the French lady go ahead of us as she was worrying about getting a parking ticket, Hayley was asking as many questions as she was being asked a man from Japan took his cd up to her then bowed she asked where he was from in Japan, she said she would be over there in a few weeks. Now it was my turn, she looked up and said oh hi , she asked how i was,was i still going to Uk and was it definite,i said yes i handed her the booklet which is A4 size but in landscape wonderful pictures, she then signed the cd booklet i handed her, i said this is for Roger ,she said Oh Roger and smiled,i said everyone from HWI sends their love, she said thats Nice and smiled, she then posed for some pictures and her mum took one also. i then went and talked to Jill.Gerald,Steve,i showed them my little photo album, Jill saw my collection and pointed to Walking in the Air oh you've got that and then spotted Wuthering Heights the unreleased single and that one then she spotted the Songbirds one Barrie had sent me from The Mail on Sunday and said i have not got that one. Steve then said is that the one from the mail and i said yes.I then asked if i could take a pic of Steve he then posed near a big tv screen,Hayleys mum said you can't stand there youve got a cartoon coming out your head (Haha) Jill then said go down near Hayley. so he went and sat beside her she looked surprised. She must have thought he was going to tell her something.I thanked Jill and Gerald for the copy of Odyssey they had given me. and went home.It was a great day, it was nice to see Hayley again after such a long time and to speak to her mum and dad and to meet Steve, its good to see that she has a great manager and that she gets on so well with him as a friend..

Hi Belinda,
I'm so glad that you attended the CD signing. What a brilliant idea of making a HWI card! Keep up the good work Belinda.
