God bless you Hayley. May you have a wonderful holiday back home with your family. You've certainly earned it! Have fun! Lots of love, Andrew xxx Yes, Andrew, that is a great way of expressing it. That lovely spontaneiry of your sharing your excitement with us was a great privilege Hayley. It was like actually meeting you face to face again. I really felt you had come into my room through the PC screen. I was immediately caught up with the wonderful infectiousness of your excitement. We in the UK have been privleged to have shared a great year with you, so we do not begrudge your Kiwi home having you back for awhile. TAKE YOUR TIME OVER THERE, don't rush back. Love Peter S. XXX

XXX Hi Peter, Yes- all the members of 'HWI' will share our point of view here too! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI guess the only thing Hayley really has to worry about "rushing back" for is the 'Songs of Praise' "Big Sing" event which is scheduled for 10th September at the Royal Albert Hall. That event is a good 13-14 days away though! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMaybe we could persuade the BBC to reschedule the event for another month? That way some of the people who have bought tickets already won't be able to go. We might then be able to bribe those people to sell their tickets to us? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm going down that "River of Dreams" again huh? Regards, Andrew

Hi Hayley. Glad to hear that you are heading home at last. You must really be looking forward to seeing your family. Please pass on my best wishes (I met your Dad at St John's last year and your mum at Tewkesbury Abbey. I thought they were both great. Just watched you sing Caccini's Ave Maria on Songs of Praise from Lincoln Cathedral. A beautiful song sung beautiful by a beautiful young lady. Looking forward to your Canterbury Cathedral concert in October. God Speed Love Grant Ah Grant, thank you. You prompted me on something i had meant to include in my second post appreciating Hayley's sharing of her going home excitement. Two Hayley encounters in one day! I wanted to share with those who saw the broadcast that I thought that was one of the best renditions I had heard from Hayley on the Caccini version. I thought the organ concentrating on the middle range of registers was superbly firm, mellow and mellifluous, giving a good depth of sound without in any way overpowering her. As regards Hayley herself, I thought she was on absolutely top form. It was an excellent recording. I think i prefer that to her other versions. She should (there may by royalty problems) consider that version for some future date for general availability. Peter

Super response, Andrew, but for someone switching out with family as we hope Hayley will be she will experience what we always experience at one of her concerts--we are mourning the ending before we have fully absorbed the fact she has started!
I hope that is indeed a long enough break for her to feel she really has dropped out for a long enough time.
Peter

Hi Simon/all. I had just logged off but had to come straight back to say how much improved the improved front page looks! I missed it on my way in as I jumped quickly to the forum. Coming back out as i closed down I saw the new cinemascope picture and the addition of the roses. Wish we could transmit smells. I can't wait for my first wiff of a Hayley Westenra rose. I gather it is as bountifuil in its fragrance as in its looks.
Well done Simon, yet again. The guy who proves it is possble to paint the lily!
