Cheers, Karsten Hi Karsten, My little Panasonic didn't forget its big brother though. No, I wasn't counting who's coming - not yet. I was curious to know who was sitting between Joyce and me. Haven't found out yet. Not long to wait now. I have my ticket here with me. Paddy

Paddy, Are you also going to the Dublin Concert? Larry Hi, Larry, I'll be there. It's where I first saw an angel in June 2007. And it's only about 27 miles up the road from where I live. Of course, that's not the real reason I'm going. 'See you there. Paddy

Hi Folks, Limerick welcomed Hayley with open arms and open hearts, The RTE Concert Orchestra led by David Brophy were an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to in action, They shipped a beautiful harpsichord and a man to tune it down to Limerick just for the backing on Lascia Ch'io Pianga, I wish the harpsichord had been just a bit louder in the mix as it is such a beautiful instrument to hear, We had chatted with the guy who was there to tune it at the concert in Dublin as well, tuned for the sound check and then again a few moments before the concert began, Thats dedication for you, The sound in the University Concert Hall is fabulous, from the front row about six feet or 1830 mm if you prefer from the stage which is only raised about a "quarter cubit" off the audience floor, at a guess i reckon the crescendos were touching 110db an odd time and I could feel the two bass's vibrating on my chest, just amazing ! Hayley and the Orchestra were well applauded for their performances and at the end had two or three prolonged standing ovations. Hayley looked absolutely delighted and we were thrilled for her. There was no official signing after the concert but a few of us waited for Hayley to emerge at the stage door where Hayley chatted and had a few photos taken with us, It was quite cold and damp and all to soon Hayley had to leave us and was driven away into the cold damp night leaving an exhilarated and happy group of HWI members to make their own way home, I would like to thank Hayley and her driver and friends for all the time they gave us and for coming to the rescue when security wanted Karsten to delete another card of photos, They had already come to me and supervised the formatting of the card in my camera and then watched us like hawks all during the second half of the concert, It just broke my heart to watch that egg timer turn as a little piece of Hayley history dissapeared..... "Lost and gone forever" But overall it was a great night with HWI represented by Hayley, comet, Eugene and a group of friends, Joyce, Karsten, Larry, Paddy and Timj. The only seat that was empty was a broken one, number thirteen (I think right in front of Hayley) that's over one thousand seats, a complete sell out we were told. Hayley also brought the weather with her as well, the sun shone for most of the afternoon and evening and we drove home to Dublin with the beautiful moonlight on our right hand side

Hi Comet Thanks for your report from Limerick. It just broke my heart to watch that egg timer turn as a little piece of Hayley history dissapeared..... "Lost and gone forever" Not necessarily! Providing you don't use the card again, there is recovery software available that can restore those images. Best wishes Grant

"Lost and gone forever Oh Dear Paul, I am really sorry this happened to you it was great that Hayley stepped in to save Karsten's photo's. It is strange how events can be so different; ranging from totally relaxed and friendly security, e.g Lincoln, to over the top and aggressive monitoring. Stuart H in N.Z and last night ! Glad it didn't spoil your night overall, even if it did leave a sour taste Graham

Hi Comet,
Presumably if you had refused to delete the photos, which would be within your rights, you would have been ejected. There is nothing else they could have done to you I suspect without making themselves liable to prosecution. And even if they had tried to eject you, you might if you had refused to go, have had a case to bring for assault! In the UK, and it may be similar in Ireland, I can be prosecuted for assault if I attack a burglar on my own property, so why is your case any different.
I know it is nasty, and would spoil a beautiful evening, but we need to stand up to these bullies!
Hayley herself seems supportive of our recording her performances. Perhaps photography being allowed could be a condition she insists on as part of her contract, if she feels strongly enough about it.
Martin
