Hi All,
I guess what I will do is get there as soon as I can and come and find you all. I will certainly be there before 5pm, so can join you for a meal. I don't know the area, although being Hanley, I spent several weeks living in an hotel there in the early 1970s. I'm sure it has all changed now.
Looking forward to seeing you all again, and meeting those I have not met before.
Martin

Hi Peter I don't think you'd even mentioned on the forum before today that you had actually booked! Happy to hear that you have. I don't know where the restaurant is yet either, though I gather it isn't very far from the theatre. It's called the Portofino so if you don't catch up with us during the afternoon, we'll be there around five pm. Hope both you and Martin will be able to join us. The more the merrier!! Best wishes Grant

Martin, i dont think Hanleys changed since the 60s! I think apart from the area immediately around the concert ahll youll find very little difference! The Victoria Hall is surrounded by restaurants and cafes so if you cant find portofino youll certainly find somewhere good.

I've checked Google Maps and it seems that the Portofino restaurant is less than 500 metres away from Victoria Hall. Best wishes, Thomas

Well done, Thomas, that really puts the UK lot in their place. It takes someone from Germany to tell us where the restaurant is we are intending to eat in! Peter S.

Hi All I was at the venue over the weekend, the coffee shop looks really nice. I shall be arriving about 4 o'clock . Can't wait !!! Hi Andy Not long now! Will you be joining us for the pre-concert meal? Best wishes Grant Hi Grant and all - Vicki here! I know that Andy is planning to meet up with you all before the concert, no doubt he'll catch you at the Italian or the venue itself! Just sorry that Bethany and I can't come to see Hayley on Saturday, Beth is really disappointed. It's not to be this time, but hopefully we'll see her soon in the new year. The excitement though, is mounting with 'him indoors'! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI wish you all a lovely afternoon meeting up and a fabulous evening with Hayley, I know it will be! Many thanks Grant! I'm hoping for another Buxton weekend, it was fantastic. I'm not getting much sense or co-operation from Andy at the moment, his head is in 'Hayleyland'. If I ask him to do something or try to plan things with him, all I get is "yeh, yeh after Hayley" Trouble is, this will carry on until after LLandudno next month Anyway, have a wonderful time and Beth and I will look forward to meeting up with you all soon Vicki

After Hayley, it willtakea while for the effects to wear off. I estimate about six weeks! Take Care, and hope to see you and Beth sometime. Martin
