During the current tour of New Zealand, at least two members reported that Hayley has a gig in the UK on Thursday (28th February). Bedlam Management have clarified that, although it is true, it is a corporate event only and not open to the public.

I guess she will be jetlagged. Just as I am at the moment. My experience is that I can adjust by about one hour a day, and the same was true when I was younger. She has a 12 hour shift to cope with, so will still be nine hours out on Thursday unless she adjusts faster than I do! When moving west, it is the evenings that are worst.

Hi Martin,
I'm not worrying for Hayley about the jetlag. When she performed in Southampton back in December, she had just returned from Brunei in the morning, and she had slept only half-an-hour before doing the concert.

Yes, but how long had she been in Brunei? If it was only a couple of days before returning to the same timezone it would hardly matter. She wonln't have had time to adjust to it. The best part of three months in a different timezone is a different matter.

Hi Martin, Like Stephany, I really do think you have no need for concern about Hayley and jetlag. I specifically asked her a year or two ago at a concert if jetlag would be a problem for her. This was just before a planned trip back home from the UK to NZ for two weeks... then back to the UK. Hayley brushed away my concerns in a matter of fact way and without a moment's hesitation - she really doesn't seem to have a problem with it. I found her reaction to be astonishing - but that really does seem to be how it is! Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone Its quite interesting that Hayley is doing a corporate event. Of course, we dont know her every move, she may do more of these events than we are aware of but, I would suggest its fairly rare. I am guessing but think this type of thing is not what Hayley enjoys and she maybe just agrees to the odd event every now and again. The financial services company that I am associated with has a conference twice each year - I'm not sure what Hayley would think about having 1700 Financial Advisers as her audience Mark Edit - At our last conference we raised between us £100,000 for charity on the day - Hayley might be tempted if a large sum like that was raised and donated to her Unicef projects

Hello Roger,
Thanks for that. Does that mean that it involves something to do with her new album, or is it a private 'performance' event??

Hi Dori, I don't know exactly what it is for. It could be anything. As the word "gig" was mentioned to me my guess is some sort of performance. Roger

There are rehearsals in day-time, business meetings, other work and contact with teh rest of the world on different time zones. If your world is truly your world, something few of us ever achieve and centres around your needs, it is arguably a very flexible world running according to its own time orientation. This may help her cope because she can adapt her rest patterns around her need more conveniently to her. Peter S.
