Hi Grant

Thanks for your (as ever) supurb report You tell it just how it happend. As you say, Hayley is working tomorrow (now today of course), Ray said she was recording in Abbey Road studios I didnt stay right until the end, as I had already enjoyed my few precious moments with Hayley and with a long drive ahead, I had left before she did. I hope to see her next week at Buxton so that I can hand over her birthday card then.

I have taken a scan of my programme for those who could not be at the concert to see :

Yes, Libby, you're absolutely right. Her own songs on Treasure are the best on the album. So if she uses more of her own material on her new album I'm sure it will be a fantastic one.

As we were so close to the stage, I wasn’t going to risk any photos during the concert itself, but here are a few from backstage.

I was very unsure of taking photos during the performance as we were indeed right in front of Hayley and I certainly would not have wanted to distract her in any way. However, by sneaking my camera out of my bag in between songs and during the audience applause, I did manage to take a few shots. Mind you, what with the lighting, having to be quick, my small camera and my generally poor photography, the results are awful I guess they are better than nothing - so here are a few more...










Finally, as our friend Caitlin is soon to go back to the States and just in case this is the last photo opportunity, Gordon very kindly took this photo :



Caitlin, I know i will see you next week at Buxton and then again at the Classical Brits but, can I just say that future concerts won't be quite the same without you, its been great fun this past year hasn't it. Don,t stay away too long

Thank you EVERYONE for the wonderful reports, scans and photos of the concert. Grant, many thanks for telling Hayley that I said hi.

Obviously, all of you thoroughly enjoyed "the moment" and obviously, Hayley did also. It's interesting that after a year on this forum, one might think that I would have gotten accustomed to reading the reports and seeing the pictures. However, the exact opposite is true. I look forward to the stories and the pictures with even more anticipation than I did when I first arrived here April of 2007. I've been exposed to, and I have appreciated more and more of Hayley's music during the past year. And, I've very much enjoyed every scan, picture and report posted over the past 12 months. Thanks to all of you!

It was interesting to read in Mark's report that Hayley is recording in Abbey Road studios today. Assuming it is for the fourth album does that mean that Giles Martin is producing some/all of the new album?

Hi Martin,

The recording session which took place yesterday was not for the next album. It was for a Toyota ad which was recorded by Hayley and... er... someone else. I'm sure sure if I am allowed to disclose who that might have been but, bearing in mind that Toyota are Japanese, their cars are bound to have a Blake!
