Hi everyone I see on the Broadlands Events page ( www.broadlands.net/events.htm ) it says this: Barbecues, open fires, garden flares, gazebos, windbreakers, or tented structures are not permitted. But no mention of cameras not being permitted. I wonder if this means that the camera police will be as absent as they were at Woburn last year? Kind regards Colin

Hi all! I do have the same problem that Karsten had in Orwell Park. Does anyone have a chair for me? My suitcase is too small to bring one with me. I do have a picnic rug but I doubt that this might be ok to sit on the whole evening especially because nobody knows how the weather will be. If anybody could borrow me a spare chair that would be highly appreciated. Thomas

Hello, I'm in London staying until the 27th. Is there any way I can get to this or am I out of luck? I don't really know my way around I think I will have just missed it because I won't be able to get back to London to fly out, right?

No alena you wouldn't get back to London by train that night. You'd need to get to Romsey and change at Southampton but the first London train wouldn't be till first thing next morning !

We are indeed fortunate that summer has returned this week. According to the 5 day forecast for Southampton which is 6 miles from Romsey (teletext page 406) Saturday will be sunny and 23 C which is just about perfect and a lot more comfortable than 27 C on Friday ! P.S. A friend of mine who works in Romsey and has been to concerts there before tells me to "get near the front or the sound is completely lost, especially if it's blowing a bit. " I don't think it'll be blowing on Saturday, except for the "thousand winds !"

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the promising weather forecast for Saturday.
My train is due to arrive in Romsey at Midday (Stoke - Oxford - Southampton Airport - Romsey for under £30!!)
I'll be checking into my hotel which is also a restaurant (Berties) so i'll probably have a meal there too if anybody wants to join me, on the map it looks only a short walk to Broadlands from there.
What time will everybody be arriving at Broadlands? Are we meeting at around 4pm like at Orwell Park?
Dazza

Thomas Hi Thomas I think I have two chairs in my garage and as long as I remember to put them in the boot of my car, you are quite welcome to borrow one for the evening. Regards Mark

Just imagine all the posts I will have to catch up on when I return on the 21st July ! I will still be reading them when you are at Kilworth. Hi Everyone, 732 post to be exact. It took me over 4 hours last night to wade through them all to bring me up to date :.... It took 4 attempts to load them all ( my computer was making a very funny noise ) Even after I had I 'finished' there were another 23 new ones to read ! Now today another 67 ! Anyway it is a quick turnround for me. I am starting the journey South on Thursday to spend a couple of days with my son and family. Saturday an early start via Silbury Hill and Stonehenge and on to Broadlands. Then Sunday on to the Ladies golf at Sunningdale, in the day, followed by Canizaro Park for my second Hayley concert in two days i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Gazza you beat me to Jersey and now Stonehenge Look forward to meeting you again on Saturday and comparing notes ! Yes a plan for Saturday would be nice soon as I leave early on Thursday morning please. After tomorrow it will be another 10 days until I can get back to a computer. At the current rate that will be approx 1,000 post to catch up Best Wishes, Graham p.s. The Mens golf was very good,.... but what weather..... my face is 'windburnt'

Hi Jeff The local TV weather forecast is for showers on Friday and warm and sunny on Saturday. The last 3 days in the south have been very warm and sunny. It can get very cool in the late evening so I will be taking a jumper/coat. Broadlands is lie lowing as the river Test flows through it. Cheers Tony

I will need to shop for food and drink to take to Broadlands. Cheers Tony
