Cheers, Dave from the Hayley-concert-starved-South 'Hayley starved South' Steady Dave, anyone who hasn't been blessed by a Hayley presence for a week is 'Hayley starved'!!! Unfortunately the House is not open on Saturdays, otherwise I would have made a weekend of it although I suppose I can go down for the Friday details hereFor those not aware, the significance of Broadlands is that it is the former home of Lord and Lady Mountbatten of Burma--Prince Charles' favourite uncle. Through respect for his war record and his endeavours in Burma and India (he was its last Viceroy (the title of someone with full powers of a monarch under a monarch) and his closeness to the Royal Family he was granted the unique precedent of his title passing down the female line by one generation. Hi Stephany! Thank you for the info. I will think about this one. It's on a weekend, I should have time and it's one of a few possibilities for me to see All angels as well. Best wishes, Thomas

HHmmmmmmmmmmm.............................................. What airport is nearby? joyce. Hi Joyce, Southampton Airport is 7miles/10KM from Broadlands (Romsey). From there, you can get by train to Romsey (via Eastleigh or Southampton). Broadlands is 1.2 KM from Romsey train station. Bournemouth International Airport is the next nearest, it is 20 miles/33KM from Broadlands but it is harder to get from there to Broadlands. Southampton Airport is the easiest if you can fly there. Cheers, Dave

Hi Everyone,
This certainly looks like an event not to be missed. I will definitely be attending this one.
Trying to sort out accommodation in Romsey, if I have no luck then I will find somewhere in Southampton.

Yes, this looks an interesting one, like Dave close to my patch as well ! Just hope I can find a kind soul to give me a lift to the station afterwards (?!) but at around half a mile, I guess it's walkable but maybe not late on a Saturday night !

Hi eveyone This could well be one for me - its a fairly easy drive from my home without staying over and if All Angels are on as well - fantastic. I'll be keeping a look out for the tickets going on sale Mark

That's right, Mark. It's not every day that artists of this calibre share the bill. That, coupled with a beautiful parkland setting and a local train station within walking distance (so Romsey Tourist Information Office tell me and I've checked it on the map) make this concert a "must see" as far as I'm concerned. I've emailed ticketeast to find out when booking opens (booking is already open at a similar event at Nacton) so I'll report back when I hear something. You'll be the second to know !!
10.15am. Just heard back from Ticketeast and on-line booking opens in a month BUT they are taking telephone bookings NOW. (0870 2409049). There are two areas: the "normal" area for 34.65 and the "Gold Circle" area right in front of the stage for 44.65. My guess is this one will sell out quickly so that's the one I went for. All I've got to do now is dust off my picnic stool !
