Hello everybody! Sounds like we missed an interesting event in Surrey last year. Two weeks before Shepherds Bush, Hayley was practicing her southern hemisphere hits at Sandown Park! 'Acive Antipodeans' (in conjunction with Sandown Park) hosted their 2nd annual Big Night Down Under on August 15th, 2007. Hayley was a surprise guest. The event also included antipodean beers and wines, BBQs, Zulu dancing, a Maori haka and six horse races. Stephany

Hi Steph, that one was kept quite eh? I can't recall having heard or seen anything in the papers or TV ( but that doesn't mean it wasn't on TV )
I just didn't see it,I'll bet it was a great day all the same for those who attended.
cheers,
Rodders

Hi again, Here are a few pictures of Hayley in Sandown Park. Sorry they are a bit small. On the fifth picture, she is being interviewed by Anthony Kemp. Stephany

Hello Rodders, Hayley's name wasn't on the flyer so I don't think they knew she would come until very late. Otherwise I guess that they would have promoted the fact that she was guest performing! Above are more pictures of Hayley with fans & a Kiwi band. Stephany

Hi Stephany,
Thank you for the news of the Sandown Park event. I have checked all the emails from Bedlam at around that time and have found the schedule that they sent me. It includes Beverley Minster on 10th August and Hurtwood Polo Club on 25th but nothing in between. The implication is that Sandown was, indeed, a last minute decision.

Hello Stephany and everybody! That was a well-kept secret. I would probably have gone there, because Sandown Park is only a short train ride for me. Richard

Hi Stephany! Thanks for finding this event! It must have been an interesting one similar to the Toast NZ. Nobody promoted Hayley so she was indeed a surprise for all the guests. A late decision means probabely it was even a surprise for Hayley to be there. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Prehaps she was supposed to just be an onlooker, then she was asked to preform???
