At the age of twenty, Hayley Westenra has more than three-and-a-half million CD sales to her name, and is the fastest-selling debut classical artist in British chart history-as well as the biggest-selling artist of all time in her native New Zealand.

Life started out very differently for this international singing sensation – it was a chance decision to busk for her dinner money that set her on the road to stardom. Her enterprising mother, with financial help from a family friend, pressed a CD to capture her daughter's voice for posterity. When top international record company executives heard that recording, she was signed up on the spot.

For the first time Hayley reveals her voice at Black Barn Amphitheatre, supported by kiwi legend Dave Dobbyn. This will be an amazing concert and is the one to see in Hawkes Bay this summer.

Tickets will be on Sale mid December - you can pre-book by clicking 'Book' below, we will send tickets out as soon as we have them.

The amphitheatre has wide flat, grassed terraces. There is no allocated seating. You are welcome to bring rugs, pillows and low beach chairs. Space is limited.

- Light snacks, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available.

- Please feel free to take along a picnic but our license requires that no alcohol or soft drinks be brought into the venue.

According to the Hawke's Bay (a NZ regional paper), this Hayley/Dobbyn concert at Black Barn on February 21 sold out within six hours of going on sale.

Notice that I said six hours, not six days. Possibly the fastest Hayley concert to be sold-out?

That is very impressive! Bands like U2 sell out their concerts within a few hours. It's amazing to see that Hayley can do the same.

It would be interesting to know the proportion of fans going for Hayley and the one going especially for Dave.

I don't think there were any of us there. But I have to say, I have no idea with what will happen to the Auckland concert in general, because we have aweful weather in Auckland at the moment, and I have no idea how they would have it go ahead.
